5.0 out of 5 stars ANIMORHS FAN
I loved this book it was great. My favorite part was when they found David. David was new at school and the animorhs saw that he had the Morphing cube .David has no idea what it can do or what it is .The animorphs must get the box at any cost. But what should they do should they make him the sixth animorph or turn him over to the Yeerks.Any way if you haven't read it...

This book was so good I read it 5 times in 5th grade alone. I loved this book and have also read many of Applegate's other Animorphs books, such as:The Invasion,The Threat,The Alien, and many others. This is one of Applegate's best works!

4.0 out of 5 stars Introducing David, March 25, 2000
By A Customer
This book, Animorphs #20, is one of the better Animorph books. This is due in part to the plot elements, and the rest to K.A.A's (and ghostwriters') usual excellent writing style. This is the first in a separate "subseries": a trilogy within the normal Animorphs series. Marco, the narrator, discovers that a kid at school, David, has discovered the blue morphing cube which gave the Animorphs their powers. Now, the Animorphs must get it back before the Yeerks fimd out! The suspense is high in this book; if you are going to buy it, make sure you will be able to read the next two soon after.

I really enjoyed the book. (Hey face it. Ilove all of them!) But I have a few complants.1. There wasn't as much action as the others.2. As I was just finishing it and telling my mom about how a lot of books would leave you hangin' with "TO BE CONTINUED'S" [ DUH DUH DUH!], but I could always count on ANIMORPHS. And then I turned the page and saw [DUH DUH DUH!] "TO BE CONTINUED!!!" But other than that it was great!

4.0 out of 5 stars The animorphs are about to get the suprise of their lives..., July 19, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Discovery (Animorphs #20) (Paperback)
It all starts when Marco is thinking about girls and then he sees a new kid at school,David with THE blue box.He tells the animorphs about it and they realize David's about to sell it to Visser Three. But they have other problems, the world leaders are coming together(a sweet target for the yeerks).Anyways they try to stop Visser Three from getting THE blue box, succeed but trash Davids house and get his parents turned into controllers. They then turn David into the SEVENTH animorph(i'm counting ax here). So then they have to face the world leader problem.Thats all i'm gonna say. Its a good book but confusing so it doesn't get a 5

5.0 out of 5 stars Shoot! Can somebody get some ANIMORHPS for me?, November 19, 2010
By
Moon Shim (Catonsville, Maryland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Discovery (Animorphs #20) (Paperback)
Again, I come to the same problems like "the Departure". I don't have the whole series, so I can't start out with some summaries. I, again REALLY wish that anyone who has a full series, would give it to me by any chance if you decide to mail it to me, send me an e-mail. Anyway, let's go back to the summary.

This story is lead by Marco, the some-what cool, loving to-be-in-center-of attention joker. Okay, they were enjoying their normal lives after their last mission, when Marco saw the morphing cube. The morphing cube Elfangor used to create the Animorphs. The morphing cube, the blue box, the Escafill device which had been thought to be destroyed with Elfangor is now found on hands off a new boy called David. Marco instantly realizes that David doesn't know what it is and what it can do. He also notices that the Animorphs should get the blue box as fast as possible, no matter what costs. The first plan was to just simply steal the Escafill device from the kid's room. The plan fitted into pieces as follows. 1. Fly inside the opened window with David hanging out on his pool 2. Get the thing. 3. Bail. However, they left out a few steps: the first was to check sure of the plan. Marco accidently hit the stick which was keeping the window from shutting, and he locked himself up. Second was that there was a cat in the room which made Rachel join after shattering the glass. Last of all, the kid had a B-B gun. He fired it at Marco who was really close of getting the device. As a result, the plan `A' failed. Next day, in school, Marco finds some horrible facts: David shot out images of the Escafill device on the internet, and Visser three already reserved it. Knowing that there isn't enough time left, Marco tried to stop this e-mail from being automatically sent to Visser three, and got in this really stupid mess with himself as a snake, Ax demorphing, and David's father witnessing with a gun. After that the things just got much worse. David and his dad terrified, Visser three himself, Marco- the snakeboy, and willing-to-revenge Ax. Later, the fight joined in with Cassie as wolf, Tiger Jake, and Exana in grizzly morph. Much later, the Animorphs realized that they need to bail and they did. Cassie, Jake, Rachel, and Ax hurled butts through the wall that Rachel knocked out. David was shoved out of the bathroom window by Rachel. And Marco had a close call of being captured. Later on, they decided to make David join them.

Then David became the sixth Animorphs. The first mission after this Escafill device getting is to save the world's greatest leaders, Britain, France, Russia, Japan, Germany, and the United States. They knew they need to stop the Yeerks from infesting the world's greatest leaders and they were trying to when the book ended. I think this is a good book. I wish I had #21 to finish the story. BTW, this is #20.

5.0 out of 5 stars Animorphs: The Discovery, April 5, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Discovery (Animorphs #20) (Paperback)
When Elfangor crashes an Andalite fighter it is five kids: Jake, Marco, Rachel, Cassie, and Tobias that find it. There Elfangor tells them of the secret Yeerk invasion of earth which if not stopped will leave all humans slaves. He changes them, gives them the power to turn into any animal they touch: with a blue box. But now a kid named David has the box. It will be easy enough to get the box. (Yeah right!) But do they leave David to the Yeerks? Or make him one of them?

Some life lessons the author ads notably into the book are that appearences can be deceiving and that even a kid can be deceiving and that even a kid can be strong. There may be many other messages in the book, but one that is emphasized the most is that out of all the disagreeable and vicious animals that may live in this world, humans: warring and aggressive definitely make the top ten. Even though most humans will probably disagree with this it is the perspective of an Andalite named Aximili-Esgarouth-Isthill.

Are you yearning for a partially humorous adventure, or want o learn how an animal thinks or feels? If so, this is the book for you! Told with the perspective of the characters this is the story of an alien war... which is suddenly being fought on earth. And the five kids that get mixed up in it. This series brings you from the classroom to an alien spaceship in more than one body. So why don't you come along for the ride?

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book!, April 16, 1999

This Book was great with all the cliffhangers and natural style of Ms. Applegate's Sci-Fi. A brilliant story and mustread for any Science Fiction fan. Is probably the best book of the series.
