Discovery Exclusive Joebot Robot

This new Wow Wee Robot is the 1st attempt by Wow Wee to use voice command that works about 60% of the time but the "Finger" switches work good for the things Joebot can do . Joebot is made to walk on hard surfaces and really doesn't move well on carpets . This robot reminds me of my Rex The Dawg from Wow Wee. I would say that Joebot is worth about $70 tops new and is enjoyable to me an old geek :)

My 5 year old son recieved this as a gift at Christmas and has loved all the crazy things that this robot does. He loves clapping out beats to which Joebot mimics perfectly. He love "shooting" back at Joebot with our tv remote when the robot is in battle-mode. We laugh ourselves silly with the funny things Joebot says and does. He's quite entertaining and my 2 year old son even plays with him on a regular basis.

Joebot is quite durable (He's been dropped many times -to which tells us, "If I didn't need you for batteries, I'd be so out of here!") and still functions properly. Our only 2 hang-ups with Joebot is that he needs to move on a hard, flat surface (no carpet) and that he doesn't hear voice command prompts very well. I'm just glad that you can squeeze his hands to get him to do what you want as a back-up when he doesn't seem to hear what you want.

I can't say I would've paid full price for what Joebot does, but since he was a gift we love him. Like I said before, he's played with on a regular basis. It's now June and we just barely replaced his batteries.

He's cool the main thing I don't like about him is his voice... Gets kind of old fast but he can do a bunch of stuff I like that he can sense movement with his infer red technology and you can play laser tag with him using a TV remote or other Jobot too. My children love JoeBot. They dance with him and tell him what to do. A robot is a toy my son has wanted since he had a chance to play with a Robosapien V2 that his cousin has. This one takes voice commands which makes it easier to use than the Robosapien. Very good for children younger than the 8+ age. My children are 3 and 5 and it's easy for them to play with it. Simple, easy to use and the children like it. Hard to beat that. And the price is very good for a robot like this.

Purchased this for my son. It is very interactive and he loves it. Make sure you speak to it like the manual says and speak loud and clear with no background noise. He plays with it everyday.

WowWee! Finally a robot that doesn't need a remote! Had a great time with this robot on Christmas putting it through the paces. It listens to commands well, is very interactive and can be programmed as well. The built-in game is enjoyable too. My kids are addicted (and I have to admit I am too). Highly recommended.

Joebot is fun. He's a toy. He's just supposed to be fun, not a perfect adult-style robot. I don't understand why people are complaining about him at all. Those people just need to relax and have FUN. The whole point of a robot like this is just to play with it.

At first his inputs were confusing because there is no remote control, but his controls are all in his hands and fingers, so all you have to do is touch him and he'll react to you, plus he also has a voice recognition feature that is fun to play with.

My whole family likes to play with Joebot.

Santa brought this for our six year old but everyone from 6 to 75 was playing with him. too cool.

Just have to say I love this robot! It will be a Christmas gift for my 5 year old. He has wanted one of these for a while. I think these are great for someone his age that has a hard time dealing with remote controls. You do have to speak clearly for voice recognition. But still the voice sensor works. However, if your child like mine doesn't speak very clearly yet you still have one button push to activate him on the end of his hands. Says alot of cute things and does a little more than some of the other robots wowwee made in the past. Just worried about how durable he will be with my son though. But its all worth it for him. Only thing he wants this year from Santa.:) I liked that this was fullfilled by amazon , so I knew they had it on the warehouse shelf and it would be shipped fast and packed well. I will come back on after my son plays with him some on Christmas and let you know how durable he really is with the little ones. Only other thing I could say is he definetly walks better on a flat floor like you would have in the kitchen (not well on carpet). Other than that I just love him for smaller children. He is definetly a childs toy but not too bad for us adults to like him too. :)
