My daughter started pretending to "fish" using strings, wands, etc, so I finally bought her this toy. She spreads the fishes on the floor and fishes for them while standing on the couch. It's fairly easy to "catch" the fish, but it takes some concentration on her part so I think she finds it challenging enough. We've had it for over a month and she still loves playing with it (which is kind of a record for her). All parts are really well made and the fishing rod is great for little hands. This is one of the few toys that I think will stand the test of toddler time!

I originally felt the item was a little pricey but after we received it the quality matches the cost. It's a sturdy, well-made toy with little to no safety issues (none that I can find).

This toy is great for my just turned 3 son. He can take his tackle box around the house and go "fishing" and it all fits back nicely when he is done playing. Only have to be careful with the fishing pole line to make sure that it doesn't get tangled, and that your child knows not to be putting it around his neck.

We bought this for our 3-1/2 year old son who loves to go fishing with his dad. Now they go fishing everyday indoors. This is a great set complete with a pole, net, bucket and four colorful fish all contained in a tackle box. The magnets on the fishing line and fish are very strong so that it is easy to "hook" your catch. This toy encourages imagination. Our little fisherman spins new fish tales with each fishing expedition.

We bought this for our 2 year old grandson. This past summer he had his first experience fishing with grandpa. He loved reeling in the line and lure with grandpa. This enables him to continue fishing with grandpa throughout the winter. It worked great in the bathtub too! The magnets work great and the fish float and are watertight so they don't fill up with water.

This is an absolute EXCELLENT little fishing set for a boy or a girl!
It's VERY durable and extremely well made. My Son can spend hours pretending to fish and it's so fun to play with him! We can make up all sorts of games with this! If you're looking for a fun fishing set, this is the one! Buy it...Buy it NOW!

We bought this Fishing Set for our grand-daughter. She loves playing with it. It is brightly colored and will be a great way for her to learn her colors as well as some patience. Hooking each fish by the magnet that is in the fish's mouth and the magnet at the end of the string, is good for eye and hand coordination. This seems to be a sturdy toy and should last for several years.

We got this toy for my daughter for Christmas last year. We love the idea and the packaging, but it didn't take long (about a month) for the magnet to fall out of the fishing pole. It rolled away and we've never been able to find it. With the magnet gone, she cannot "catch" any of the fish. I threw away the receipt after I was certain that she liked the toy so I could not return it. Overall the idea and the packaging are great, but it costs too much for the magnet to fall out of the fishing pole after gentle use. My daughter very much wants to play "fishing" so we're in the market for another set. ...Just not this one!

I bought this for my 3 year old grandson who likes to go to the river and 'catch fish'. This toy is great for him, because he can now 'catch fish' anytime he wants! This is perfect for the little tykes big imagination!

My daughter got this today for a birthday present and she and her sister have had a great time playing with it. However, the fishing line has gotten tangled twice and I think after this second time it may be permanently tangled. Not sure if I can fix this without cutting the line as I can't take apart the reel.
