I've ordered three sets of these speakers and my son has ordered one. All eight speakers have the same problem: they work OK for a short while, then cut in and out constantly after that. By "a short while," I mean less than one minute for 6 of the speakers, about 2 minutes for the seventh, and about half an hour for the eighth. That last amount is true only if you play the speaker at a low volume. If you turn up the volume at all, even the longest-lasting speaker starts cutting out after about a minute.
I finally kept one pair, and use them by turning on one speaker until it starts to cut out, then turning it off and using the other for a short while, then turning that one off and returning to the original speaker.
Although there are two speakers, they are not stereo, but two monaural speakers.
The volume from the source must be turned very high to get much sound out of these speakers at all. I have to turn the amplifier on my stereo to its highest volume when I use these speakers.
I called MerchSource to find out how to get these speakers fixed or returned, but they have no information on them--they just sell them. So there's no customer support available there.
