Oh my word, this is an awesome toy. Put aside the fact that you are buying a box and concentrate on the fact that this could keep your children busy for hours upon hours upon hours. My children have spent copious amounts of time:
- coloring the house (inside and out)
- putting stickers on the house
- playing house inside the house
- playing mailman with the open-and-close mailboxes

Another great feature is the windows and doors. Two doors! This is very good when you have two kids, because someone is always blocking one of the doors, but there is another way to exit.

Our house has seen quite a lot of abuse over the past few months, but it's still standing. I think for twenty dollars that we paid for it, it was an excellent value in the amount of time the children have already spent on it. Once you put aside that you're paying for a box -- a box you have to assemble -- and a box that comes within a box within a box.

I got this very quickly which was good. The kids love playing inside the house and coloring the outside. The 'house' ships with just black and white on the outside. I put some extra duct tape on the joints and it seems to be wearing pretty well after about a month. Not sure how long it will last but certainly worth the money I put into it. Would recommend for kids up to about 10 years old but probably not much older.

We bought this playhouse for our 3 & 5 year olds for Christmas. They have been playing in it and coloring it almost everyday since then. It's large enough to fit an adult inside with the kids. They still have not finished coloring the entire house...there are so many different areas! I recommend it if you have children that love to color, paint, etc. It' fun for the whole family.

This is a great play house for the price. It is even larger than I expected. My 3-year-old and 10-year-old fit inside comfortably and I can fit in it too! Granted I am only 5'2" but I do not have any trouble getting through the door and sitting inside to play with the kids. They like to put blankets and pillows in there too and have created quite the set up. It was a little more difficult to set up then I imagined, the roof being the trickiest, but with a little perseverance we got it up in about 20 minutes. Once you put the chimney on, the roof stays securely in place without any trouble. Now that we have figured it out I know it will much easier/faster in the future but it is best to have an extra set of hands to help b/c of the size. However, I did manage to get it up myself with a little help from the kids. Also, I thought it would be more convenient to store away, which is really not too much trouble, but you have to disassemble the house back into two pieces and then start all over. I recommend setting it up where you intend to keep it long term instead of trying it out in the living room "just for now" as I did at first. I don't imagine it holding up very well over time if it continuously needs to be stored away after each use as it uses tabs and slots to hold it together. Overall it is pretty sturdy. Keep in mind this is a cardboard house! If you have the space to keep it out, I would recommend using clear packing tape to secure the tabs and doorways for added stability. If not, you might want to choose a smaller house that is meant to be stored away frequently. My kids love this house and when others come to play their eyes light up and it's the first thing they want to play with. They bring in all their pretend kitchen toys and baby dolls and are content for hours.Read more ›

We went through a lot to get this play house for our 4 year old for Christmas. It was worth it! The play house is easy to assemble and we've had a great time colouring it. My son prefers to "paint" the inside walls while the rest of us work on the outside. I highly recommend it. Just remember that it is made of cardboard and therefore you can't do much "rough housing" but our 4 year old is pretty active and we've had no trouble with him flying through the front door and out the back (but we've reinforced the "door sills" with tape)! I think it is well suited for kids in the 2-5 year age range. Don't forget the markers!

Purchased it for my granddaughter. She loved it. It's not finished. We pull it out every now and then to color. She was six when I purchased the first one.

The second one was purchased for her 8 year old friend who is having a good time coloring!!!

Good product.

Yes, the kids enjoyed playing in it. That's all I can say. It was up at 9am and was practically demolished by noon. If you have "normal" kids this won't last long. The cardboard is inferior quality. The doorways have cardboard thresholds to maintain the integrity of the whole structure and are the first to break. Took about 10 minutes.

If you want this playhouse to last longer, have the kids color it first while it's laying flat - that should keep them quiet for a couple of hours. trying to color it while it's up means a certain amount of pressure must be applied and it's too flimsy to take it.

The kids have made better playhouses from ordinary boxes. It's a waste of money, the next one will be nylon. Mine says eco-friendly on the box, it's a good job because after the first use it was cut up and put in the recycle bin. Don't waste your money.

The box it comes in is made from more durable cardboard than the playhouse.
