The Australian version of this CD is better, it has the following titles:

3. Get Together (The Youngbloods)
4. Classical Gas (Mason Williams)
5. You've Made Me So Very Happy (Blood, Sweat & Tears)

3.0 out of 5 stars The Dish
Although this is a pretty good soundtrack for "The Dish" movie with many songs, it is still missing several songs used in the movie. The scalpers here are trying to apply some sheep dip to your backside. I highly recommend you wait until another edition of the CD is put out rather than succumb to this form of internet flim flam.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant score, June 16, 2002

Through composer Edmund Choi's music, this loveable story about the Apollo 11 moon mission truly comes to life. In dealing with the history making subject matter, Choi has created an incredible atmosphere of reverance that is simply one of the most touching film scores in history. With his deft use of wonderful melodies and a heaven-like children's choir, we are swept willingly into a story of great humour and humility. This is simply put, one of the finest musical scores ever written for film.

4.0 out of 5 stars OUTSTANDING SOUNDTRACK, May 21, 2001
By
This review is from: The Dish (Audio CD)
The movie was average, but the soundtrack is brilliant! Set in the late 60's, the music is made up of both international and Australian artists. Songs include: You've made me so very happy -Blood Sweat & Tears; Something in the Air - Thunderclap Newman; Fly Me High - Moody Blues; The Real thing - Russell Morris; Good Morning Starshine - Oliver and many more classics. It sets the mood if you are after some easy listening material from that era. Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Beautiful, July 12, 2004

This is a fun mixture of songs, however, the reason I write this is to bring attention to the beautiful etherial "The Day the World Stood Still" by The Edmund Choir. I own a huge amount of music but I include this in every list of favorites. BEAUTIFUL.

This is such a great movie and the soundtrack is just as great. I listen to it just about every morning in the car on my way to work and it puts me into such a good mood regardless of the traffic. The songs chosen really are the 60's and as they play I can visualise the movie. This is one of my all time favourite movies and so underated.

1.0 out of 5 stars A great disappointment, January 20, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Dish (Audio CD)
If you buy this expecting to hear a good (let alone complete) selection of the period songs that gave this film its ambience, you won't find them. I bought this as a gift, and wished I hadn't. (You could argue I should have read the CD track list first; I did, but I didn't know who sang the songs anyway and couldn't find a film track list anywhere on the Web). A great disappointment.
