My daughter got this kitchenette for her 1st birthday. She really does love it. The princesses will talk to you when you are doing different things. The kitchenette also makes different sounds when you are doing different things such as making tea, washing your hands or putting something in the oven, etc. It is very cute and much fun. My son who is 3 years old has had a blast playing with it also. The kitchenette is made very good and very sturdy. Although the starting age for this toy is 3 years old, my daughter has enjoyed it so far. I know she will be able to grow with it. She can operate everything very good and she is tall enough to almost reach everything. I would recommend this toy to anyone!!!

This is a great kitchen for my 21 month old daughter. It's not too big, not too small, and easy for her to use. But be careful putting the stickers on: It says that the cookbook stickers go in any order but the sound makes reference to them. I recommend putting them on after the batteries are in place so that they are in the right place. It's a little harder to put together than I thought so make sure you got someone to help.
UPDATE: We have had this kitchen since Jan. 30 of this year and it is still working great and getting lots of use. Every little girl that comes over falls in love with this kitcen. Just be sure to check at your local Toys R Us - it's listed for $59.99 here but I bought it at my local store for $29.99!

I bought this for my daughter's 4th birthday and she loves it.
My son who's 7 picked it out. They really love all the sounds its like a real kitchen....Even their cousin who's nine a boy really get's into it....Its kinds flimsy though if you want a kitchen to last I do'nt think this is the one, but if your on a budget then it will do...

I bought this kitchen for my 3 and 4 year old. It took me five hours to figure out how to put it together and then as soon as I finished it was pretty much coming apart. The oven door does not stay in and can be pulled out very easily and the plastic in the oven door came out of ours. I am now looking for a kitchen that will last more than a week.

I bought this for my daughters 3rd Birthday. She has just about every other "Disney Princess" toy made. I've always been happy with the Disney Toys. However, this kitchen is cheaply made and a BIG Dissapointment.
I'll start with the phrase "SOME assembly required" You are basically putting this thing together yourself...Minus installing the wiring for the battery and the lightbulb. And, this is going to take you a WHILE (thank goodness it wasn't Christmas Eve) My husband and I both got fustrated and struggled with several of the pieces that wouldn't go on easily. Then, when it was finally all together...we realized the batteries weren't in. They are also positioned really dumb...you have to take off the 3 castle towers to get the batts. in. So, the towers come flying off and hit the ground which BREAKS the little flag off the top! This kitchen comes with a Teapot and cups/saucers. Try getting a 3yr. old little girl who's THRILLED with this fun toy to NOT put liquids in the teapot and spill on the stovetop while serving you a cup. Another really poorly thought out element---the Speaker is located ON the stovetop...the water went right down in to it. Guess what...the thing was 3 days old and no longer "talks". I've tried to dry it out and it's not looking good...The kitchen is now a week old and every time I look at it I feel very sad that my daughters "BIG Birthday Gift" turned out to be such garbage! If you're still thinking about buying this toy...put some tape or something over the speaker so it won't be ruined! And, don't forget...think about buying some extra "fake foods" seperatly. This comes with 1 egg, 2 muffins, and 2 cookies (which only look like cookies on one side--hollow in back)

We got this kitchen for our daughter last Christmas. She loves to do the pretend cooking thing and she loves the Princesses so I thought this would be right up her alley. Okay, so we get all the pieces out of the box on Christmas Eve. This took us so long to put together and it's so poorly made. I was sooo disappointed but was hoping though that my daughter would still enjoy it because afterall, its the Princesses!
Well, fast forward to right now. The kitchen sits untouched in her room. She gets so frustrated with it. Something always breaks or falls off. So, needless to say, we are getting a new kitchen for her this Christmas. A Step2 kitchen that will last and not be so frustrating for her. If you are looking for something to last and be used for years, do not get this kitchen. Yes, it's cute and girly (which is what caught my eye) but it's so not worth it!!

Assemble with care should be one warning that's posted all over the box! I agree with the other reviewers who say it's hard to assemble and not very durable. It's a beautiful little kitchen fit for any princess, though, and if handled with extreme care will last for some hours of fun. :) The vanity is also a gorgeous piece for a princess ...although you have to get past the really annoying voice! That or keep it in the "off" position.

My wife and I brought this to Vietnam as a gift for my three nieces. It is packed very well and can be carried on an airplane like a suitcase. It does require a lot of assembly, but once assembled it delights them for hours on end. It also teaches them to play together. They have the DVD of Beauty and the Beast so this is a familiar and welcome gift for them.

We just bought this kitchen for our soon to be 4 year old daughter. She is delighted with it. She enjoys all the sounds and answers the princesses when they ask a question. Great for using their imagination. She gets a little frustrated though, when the doors fall off. The whole thing should be made of stronger material. It took my husband about 20 mins. to assemble and the stickers really stick in there, so make sure you position them just right the first time. Overall it is a fun kitchen for toddlers and not too bulky.
