As the other reviewers mentioned, this boom box is tiny, which is why my daughter liked it but at $40 it was well overpriced. The CDs and tapes are fake - if they worked, maybe the price could be justified.
Worst of all however, it BROKE after 2 days of use - it just stopped working all together - and it was not roughly handled (and yes we tried the batteries). I would definitely NOT recommend this product.

I wish I'd read about this toy more before purchasing. I'm dissapointed to find that the boombox doesn't play any Disney princess songs at all. I was under the impression that it would, but it only plays songs like "London Bridges" or "Mary had a little lamb." Dissapointing that something that is plastered with Disney princesses doesn't at least include a few songs from Ariel or Cinderella. My 3 yr old daughter seems to like it okay, but is wondering how to get the Ariel "CD" to play her song. Sigh. Dissapointing...but my fault I guess for assuming.

I read that this was tiny, but I was still surprised. It's a cute toy that is worth about $12 if you ask me. I gave it 2 stars because of the overpricing. Maybe it would be worth the $40 if the "cd's" were actually used to play the music.

Overall the product is fine, just note, this is TINY !!!! The CD's are approximately the size of a silver dollar. Way too small to have in a house with an infant & a toddler.

I was just looking for it to see if amazon has this product because it is sold out at local drug store. I was going to get it for my daughter's friend's birthday gift.
This product is always sold $17 at local drug store. I do not understand how did it get $56???
We have one at home, very cute, my daughter's one of a favorite toy, but very small, does not play different songs by each CD. It does not worth $56.

This toy is very small & isn't loud at all. My daughter had it broke in no time at all just by carrying it around. Not worth the money.

I bought this toy at a garage sale and my nieces (3 yrs old) and my daughter (1yr old) absolutely loved it! it is very simple to operate and they carried it around dancing and twirling and having the best time! I am actually looking to buy 2 or 3 more (although I did only pay $2 for mine...) so if anyone that hates it wants to sell theirs, let me know!! :)

There are others in the toy store that are less costly and a larger size. This was disappointingly small and overpriced.

Reading the other reviews, it seems that I have worse luck than the others. The Boombox only plays one song over and over again while the box claims 9 tracks. The fast forward and rewind button does not work, only the play and stop button works. I tried changing the battery but didn't work either. Unfortunately we live too far away to make it worthwhile shipping it back.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this -5. This $42 mini boom box is not a real boombox. I was shocked when I saw it, my first thought was "they must of sent me the wrong order" It is a mini plastic box about 6" x 5" x 4" that plays recorded songs (no vocal)and it very poor quality. Has little 1' plastic fake CD's, I would be to embarrassed to give this as a gift to my grand daughter, so I returned it the same day I received it, had to pay shipping to return. In all honesty, I would not pay more than $12 for this product.
