5.0 out of 5 stars Mommy of 18 month Old Matthew
Matthew was 18mos when he received this toy from Santa. He loved "Eeeee" (what he calls him) from the start and could easily manage to make him talk.

Five stars for fun because Eeyore says various differnt things at least 10 statements in answer to a yes or now type question instead of just 2 or 3.

Five stars for Education since it really pleased me when my son...

2.0 out of 5 stars Really cute, but what did he say?
I just came from [the store] where I tried this out for myself. VERY cute but if the "talking" aspect is important to you, then pass on this one. Never underestimate the power of a talking toy. This will likely be your child's motivation to speak(second only to you), but only if its loud and clear. The voice is way too low and muffled. I believe in quality not quantity...

Five stars for Education since it really pleased me when my son pressed his front left foot and heard "Go Ahead and Celebrate" in E's usual gloomey cute voice, then he turned to me and said "Seh-oh-brate" with a big smile on his face. So, the fact that Eeyore taught my son a 3-syllable word, makes me love him educationally. There are a couple other words he taught my son, but that one was the most impressive and could be directly attributed to "E".

Five Star durability because my son will be hugging him tightly and I can hear his muffled voice going off and head trying to move and a clinking sound in the neck as it's trying to move, but he doesn't break - Great toy!

Added Treat! Keep the box he comes in, my son loved sitting in Eeyore's pasture for months and months, until the box gave out - what a treat.

Have Fun! Laura

5.0 out of 5 stars Eeyore for all Ages, February 9, 2001

Today I came home from work to discover a huge package outside my door. In all of my 25 years my aunt has never managed to forget that Valentine's is my favorite holdiay and this year proved no exception.

Talking Eeyore was perhaps one of the best gifts I have ever received. The glum greeting followed in conjunction with the moving ears could hardly contain the kid inside me. I smiled all day and brought it to work to the envy of all my coworkers.

With just enough delivery time still left, I have already bought two more for other lucky Valentines. Everyone should enjoy talking Eeyore.

As an Eeyore collector, I was excited when a friend gave me this Ask Me More Eeyore for a Xmas gift. It's like a talking 'magic 8' toy - one presses Eeyore's paw to be prompted for a question, and then press the paw again to get one of an assorted array of quipy answers. Very cute toy - my only disappointment was the mechanics of the mouth/head/ears movement is on the loud side. Not very educational but interactive enough for young kids to enjoy. For now, my Siamese cat loves to sit and watch Eeyore move!

I believe in quality not quantity when it comes to my kid's toys. Go and demo this before you toss your money away. If this is the best Disney can do with 4.5 BILLION per year in its POOH profits alone then that's pretty sad. It's a shame as I love the character so much, but this toy just doesn't do it. I can't rate the durability as I passed on this one, but I see potential for problems with the motorized ears as this is the first thing a child would grab, and they are the most fragile part. Jack up the sound and limit the animatronics to the mouth. This would up the points for fun, educational AND durability.

I purchased this toy for my son's first birthday. I love Eeyore, he has always been my favorite Pooh character. This toy, however, serves a double purpose. It is both a smiling Eeyore (which is a contradiction in terms, isn't it? ;)) and a child-friendly magic 8 ball. Incredibly cute, lots of fun to play with, and fascinating to my son (so far, anyway), this toy seems to be a hit with him. However, be prepared for cynical comments from your adult guests who get a gaze at this toy: Every one of them will say "How depressing!"

3.0 out of 5 stars More fun for grownups than for kids, October 24, 2001

This toy is cute, but probably more fun for grown-ups who get a kick out hearing Eeyore talk. The number of things he says is too limited to be entertaining to a child for long.

This is an adorable and engaging toy. Eeyore first asks a question then needs to be activiated again for an answer. The limit of the answers to "Yes and No" is more suitable to younger children.

I recieved Eeyore as a Christmas gift from my best friend. I am a huge fan of Eeyore and I really wanted the toy. It only made it more special since it came from him. I think Eeyore would be great to help children learn to ask yes and no questions. I think it would be a great toy to have in a primary classroom. Not only would it be fun for the children, but also it would help them learn how to ask yes and no questions with an immediate response. I would recommend this toy for every Eeyore fan!

3.0 out of 5 stars My 2 yr old has no interest in this, January 20, 2003

I thought that my 2 yr old would like this toy because he likes watching the Book of Pooh. However, he has never played with it and shows no interest whatsoever in it. Plus, his "answers" never seem to match the "questions" and it's really kind of stupid (yes, I had to play with it to find this out.) I gave it a few stars only because Eeyore really is cute and he seems to be well made. However, I would only buy this toy if your child is truly in love with Eeyore because he's really just a glorified stuffed animal.
