Protype toy must have been different,
This review is from: Disney Cars: Radiator Springs Mountain Challenge Track Set (Toy)
I hope everyone who buys this item returns it has a major design defect that renders it unuseable.
Something must have changed between prototype and production. Final 3 tracks before motor way too sharp and steep. Will not stay together even for a moment. Car will not stay on track. Every peice of set different. Maker must recall and re-engineer. Very sorry about sadness and frustrations this toy will bring so many children.

This is what my son wanted for his 5th birthday - and it was all he asked for. He got 2 giftcards, and we went to get it today. It took forever to put together - with only pictures for assembly - no words! Two different pieces keep popping out - and the car falls off of the track after bousing off the railing. I feel horrible that my son spent his own gift crads on this. We also bought 3 additional die cast cars that were above it on the shelf at Toys R Us, but they are too wide to work.
Overall, much longer to put together than was spent playing with it!

My kid won't stop crying,

Please don't buy this toy. It was very difficult to put together, poorly designed, flimsy, will eat batteries, has an annoying sound, and is generally a huge waste of money. My 5-year old lost interest quickly and my 2 year found it so frustatingly flimsy that he wouldn't stop sceaming and crying. Also note that unless you throw it away (thereby granting yourself peace and salvation), it will take up a lot of space because you will be unwilling to disassemble and then reassemble it at a future time.
