This is a great watch to help children learn how to tell time. It has a labeled hour and minute hand, plus it also shows the minutes in small print on the face, so they can see or count exactly what minute it is. The velcro, fabric wristband is nice. It's a bit more of a rugged look than a classic leather strap, but then for a starter watch and trying to get them to keep it dry when washing hands etc., is a whole different issue! I think until our son gets a bit more used to the idea of wearing one and taking care of one, this adjustable velcro fabric is perfect, because if it does get wet, its easy to get dry and doesn't get ruined like leather would eventually.

they show the watch in the add 100 times bigger than it is VERY dissapointed would never buy anything else
