My daughter loves it!,
By
This review is from: Disney Cars Mix Stick (Toy)
We bought this for our daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it! She is 6 and loves to listen to music. We only bought the mix stick, no clips, as she only listens to the Christian radio station and doesn't know any of the songs on the mix clips. I plugged it into my usb port and after having to install the software and update windows media player (which only took about 15 to 20 mins. - on DSL) I downloaded songs onto it which only took about 2 or 3 mins. and she was all set. She listened to it all the way to her Nana's house (which is an hour away) and listened to it on and off all evening. I even noticed that she had left it on the whole day because I hadn't told her how to turn it off. She listened to it some on Tuesday and Wednesday and it hasn't been plugged into my computer since we put the songs on it Monday afternoon. This little player is amazing! Highly recommended for children! I would even use it myself!

My 5 year old's Ipod,
This review is from: Disney Cars Mix Stick (Toy)
I love this product. Excellent quality and was my son's favorite gift. I have two teenagers with Ipod's so the 5 year old wanted one like his brother's, well was he so excited to have one and with Lighting Mc Queen's number on it made it even better. Very well priced, about 50.00 everywhere else. Priced right for what it is and being for a child. Made well, and very easy for him to use. Have recommended to many people.

Awesome MP3 for kids,

I have read the other reviews that this is a bad product and I completely disagree. I have two kids that each one have one with the Jam Stands. They work great. We play mix chips and download music. If you open up your window media player you can download music then plug in the mp3 and sync it. Things to keep in mind. Turn it off when you want to charge it, otherwise the jam stand will start to play when it gets charged enough but will then stop playing. My girls have had theirs for two years and they still work great.

LOVE IT!! I bought it for my niece for her 7th birthday and loaded all her CD's on to it before I gave it to her. I tried it out until her birthday and almost didn't give it to her, I wanted to keep it for myself! It's easy to load music on or you can buy the mix clips to play on it. My niece loves it too!

Beware of the battery-it's NOT replaceable,

I purchased three of the Disney Mix Sticks, as well as some cartridges with songs. My kids also downloaded some of their favorite songs onto the sticks. Unfortunately, one of the sticks seems to have gotten more use than the others and now the battery is dead. I called Disney Electronics and they suggested I format the stick, which didn't help. Then they said I could return it to them and they would replace the battery for $30. The player only lasted a little over 4 months. There's no point in paying that much for a repair when I can purchase a new one for nearly that amount. They are very nice for kids to have for their music needs, but they should last longer, or at least have a replaceable battery. Very disappointing for a Disney product.

Save your money and yourself some trouble...,

I ordered a Disney Mix Stick from The Disney Store, as well as the Docking Jam Station to go with it, so that my little girl could play her MP3 player in her room as a stereo. What a wonderful Christmas present it was when the Docking Station wouldn't even work on Christmas morning! I sent in the docking station and waited to hear something. Meanwhile, the MP3 player didn't work at all like it was supposed to at all. I finally received an e-mail from you saying that the docking station was unavailable, and it sounds like it will continue to be so permanently (probably because they don't work!)! I would never have purchased this item if my daughter wasn't going to be able to play her MP3 player as a stereo. Now I have a worthless mix stick that works only when the moon is full, and The Disney Store won't even stand behind their product. If I had ordered from Amazon, they would have at least given me my money back. SAVE YOUR MONEY! AVOID THIS ITEM!

Piece of junk... don't buy,

I bought this item for my daughter for Christmas (at Wal-Mart). I also bought a disc of music so she could begin listening right away until I was able to download music onto it for her. For the first few hours of operation, it worked okay. I managed to put some songs on it and she used it for awhile. Eventually, the battery went dead (it comes with a rechargeable battery that has to be re-charged via your computer's USB port), so I charged it for four (4) hours, per the instruction booklet. Before I removed it, I attempted to put a couple more songs on it, and now my computer says it doesn't recognize the item in the USB port (I troubleshooted to make sure other USB items worked and they did). Also, in order to put songs on it, you have to use Windows media player. The Mix Stick comes with a small disc with drivers for Windows 98 as well as Windows Media Player 9 and Windows Media Player 10. I attempted to download the driver for XP (WMP 10) and it said I had a later version of Windows Media Player. Okay, so I went in to "Sync" the music and it still won't recognize the Mix Stick even in that. In addition, the player won't even play the pre-made disc that I bought with music already on it! It still acts as if the battery is dead even though I charged for FOUR hours! I am fed up. I took it back today and got my money back!!! Dont' waste your time or money.

My 8yr old's Mix Stick just went through the Washer & Dryer and still works. I was worried about spending the money on the mix stick, but my kids has loved it & has managed to hold onto it for 1 year (REMARKABLE) & now it survived the washer & dryer. Go Disney Mixstick go! My 5 year old has one too and LOVES it. It's great for kids because it's easy to figure out and great for parents because it's easy to load. We load our music vs. buying the preloaded cards.

Worthless and aggravating!,
This review is from: Disney Cars Mix Stick (Toy)
My daughter saved her money to buy an MP3 player and I thought this would be the most kid friendly, user friendly one she could buy. It has never worked...we tried to load it on her computer and it said that the player was corrupt and it was disabled. I uninstalled it and tried it again and still nothing! Ok, I figured I would try it on my laptop, however the software does not come ready for windows vista! To top that, there is no download to set it up on windows vista. So here we are, wasted money and no player. Don't waste your time or money on this piece of junk!

Disney Mix Stick,

We decided to let the kids open one present each before Christmas and my daughter chose the Disney Mix Stick. We found out the mp3 wasn't working properly because the battery was already near dead. Now we have to send it back and hopefully she will get her replacement before Christmas day.
