Exactly how I expected my boys to react when they got these! They love them, fight over I-screamer! However one day later the "paint jobs" (decals) are already flaking with normal play. Seriously, why not put a protective coat on that paint Disney???? Kids dont notice that kind of thing, but I expected better quality. Despite the paint, they seem good quality. Four days in and they still take them to bed each night!

These are awesome especially if you have the book to go with it. Please note, they are bigger than Hot Wheels Monster trucks and don't fit in the case. My son is 3 and loves the kooky names.

I love most Disney products and feel that the quality of these are no exception. We used the monster trucks as rewards for my son's potty training and it worked like a charm!

Back in 2012, when our oldest grandson was heavy-heavy into his "Cars" phase, we'd purchased him the absolutely hilarious "Mater's Tall Tales" DVD - he wanted to see it over and over and over! (If you're unfamiliar with it, it's a series of "shorts" in which Mater - known for maybe stretching the truth just a tad - has flashbacks to various "occupations" he's had in the past, and midway through placing Lightning McQueen right there with him. In this one, he was once a monster truck "wrestler")! That Christmas, we picked up a bunch of Disney Store's Tall Tales-themed multi packs for under the tree, with this Monster Truck 5-pack being one of them. I have to admit being concerned about the prospect of our grandson's own monster truck wrestling with diecasts, wondering how long it'd be before they were in pieces on the floor. I was so surprised (though happy!) to see that - rather than the typical heavy and therefore brittle feeling of previous Disney Store diecasts we'd purchased, these were completely plastic... an extremely STRONG plastic, with rubberish feeling monster wheels! He went nuts over these - ALL of the sets were extremely cool looking, so wonderfully detailed as Disney Store models always are, but these are incredibly tough and durable and have endured not only countless wrestling matches, but also our middle grandson... we've affectionately nicknamed him the "Master of Disaster" - much rougher with toys than his big brother had even been! Unfortunately, we have to keep most of the diecasts out of his reach, but this Monster Truck group is perfect.

Each is @ 3"L, 3"W. Frightning McMean (dontcha love it?!) is @ 2-1/4"H, the Rasta Carian is @ 2-3/4" at the top of his dreadlocks, Mater (The Tormentor!) is @ 3"H at the top of his tow hook, Paddy O'Concrete is @ 3-1/8"H at the top of his pour-er, and I-Screamer is @ 3-3/8"H at the tip top of his speaker. The one thing that kinda ticked me off is that I could only find Dr. Feel Bad as part of a 3-pack that included McMean and Tormenter, and I wasn't about to double up on them. I think they did make a Dr. Frankenwagon, but never could find him or his Monster (don't even know if they made his Monster), and I've never seen Captain Collision. I wish Disney Store had come out with a pack containing ALL of the competitors, since I'm pretty sure it was our grandson's favorite Tall Tales episode. The other thing we all love is that their wheels pivot a bit - really look neat as they're moving! We paid $19.50 for this back then, and even at the $29 this listing has it as of today, we'd buy it again.

I was amazed by the price for this set and hurriedly bought them only to find out that they were the "Disney" cheap plastic non metal diecast cars. Their still ok to look at but their made to be played with and not IMO made to be collectibles that Pixar/Mattel puts out that I'm looking for. Look for the Pixar/Mattel metal diecast if your wanting the collectibles and look for the Disney only name if you looking for playtoys or just like it that way.

These are great little toys but the quality is subpar. My son just got them for his 3rd birthday and loves them. He plays with them non stop. The stickers have already started peeling off and his favorite, the ice cream truck, just broke; all within the first few days. The body of the truck is only attached with two thin dowel like pieces which easily broke apart. They appeared to be glued into slots in the chassis as one "dowel" pulled out and its looks like glue residue left behind. Just a poor design, especially for the price. His hot wheels die cast monster trucks are much sturdier

Our 2 year old LOVES Mater Tall Tales, we bought this set specifically for I-Screamer, but our son plays with them all equally! I highly recommend!! We recently bought the Disney Cars 2 Figure Deluxe Play Set and our son lines up the figures for the monster trucks to roll over (like in the show), it makes for great playtime!

When the item arrived, I had to examine it carefully to make sure that it was actually an authentic Disney Cars product. The colors are a little bit off, the size is a little bit different, and the packaging isn't great. It will serve the purpose I purchased it for - but for collectors, I'm not too sure I'd recommend this.

These are very poorly made. They'd be great for a collector, but awful for a child to actually play with them. Within an hour of average play two of the trucks had their faces rubbed off. Within a week pieces were falling off as well. Definitely not the quality I usually expect from Disney.
