Unleash the Power of the Brush in a Whole New Way

Join Mickey and Oswald in an epic battle to save the magical world of Wasteland and change it forever. Interact with your favorite characters like never before in the most heroic adventure yet.

In Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, gamers will play as Mickey Mouse and for the first time ever, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney's first cartoon star, in an all-new adventure of creativity and discovery. Created by industry luminary Warren Spector and Disney Interactive's Junction Point game development studio, Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two comes to Next-Gen game consoles for the first time.

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two returns Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to Wasteland, an alternate world filled with 80 years of forgotten Disney characters and theme park attractions. But for the first time, Mickey and Oswald will join forces as true partners - Mickey with his magical paint brush that wields paint and thinner, and Oswald with his powerful remote control that allows him to command electricity. This new co-op play combined with enhanced in-game physics will further enhance the idea that "PlayStyle Matters" - a unique approach to gameplay pioneered by Warren Spector where players dynamically tackle different challenges in order to explore all possibilities and storylines, but with consequences for their chosen actions.

Key Game Features

  • Players can play as Oswald in drop-in, dropout 2-player co-op mode. The Power of Two will be evident as Oswald participates in Mickey's adventure every step of the way.
  • All in-game characters -- most notably Oswald The Lucky Rabbit whose voice will be heard for the first time ever -- are fully voiced by the official voice actors of those characters.
  • Players will experience Disney's forgotten characters and attractions in all-new levels and further explore levels from the original Disney Epic Mickey game, but now changed, impacted by world-changing events that have shaken Wasteland apart. New 2D levels based on classic Disney animated films and shorts will offer compelling puzzle-based, platforming gameplay.
  • Players enjoy an original game story CO-written by award-winning American comic book writer, Marv Wolfman, and Junction Point. The storyline features a variety of new and returning characters that further immerse players in Disney's rich history while adversaries familiar and new will challenge players.
  • Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is the first video game that can be described as a "musical," where at various points during the adventure characters will express themselves and advance the plot by bursting into song. All songs feature original Disney-inspired music and lyrics. Players will also hear tunes and instrumentation that change based on their personal choices, which will ultimately allow each individual to "conduct" their own unique soundtrack.
  • Optional PlayStation Move support lets players extend the fluity of their movements through Wasteland even further.
  • The Disney Epic Mickey franchise comes to Next Gen consoles for the first time.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Downfalls of Two... January 15, 2013
Platform for Display:PlayStation 3|Verified Purchase
When Epic Mickey was released on the Wii, I cried a little… A game about classic Disney literature, games and movies all tied with a neat little bow, aka beautiful graphics and a timeless appeal of faithful recreations(does that level look like the original NES game?!??) and hidden aspects for those of us that truly love Disney (including hidden Mickeys) and know all the little references that no one else does… but I didn’t own a Wii. I almost went and bought one to try it. I’m a Disney nerd and that looked like heaven to me. But I waited… it wasn’t worth paying that much to try one game.

Now, the sequel is finally released and I was SO excited that I was finally going to get my time with Mickey since it was released on a stronger/better console (sorry Wii fans, just the facts). And for the most part it’s what I wanted, but in other ways I’m sorely disappointed. Let’s separate it into two different categories… what works and what doesn’t.

Here’s why I love parts of it, and why it deserves AT LEAST 3 stars:

1) Disney Nerdvana- There are references to classic materials EVERYWHERE. I own most of the old films (I’m talking the classic shorts, etc) and there are references literally everywhere. Every time I turn a corner I revel in yet another reference that I know few else are seeing the same way. Classic movies, games, stories, materials (including lunchboxes and old school Mickey Mouse Club records on turn tables) pamper the areas with nostalgia. I’m only in my thirties, but I love all of it and I’ve done my research as a Disney nerd… the creators made this with pure love and I’m loving how much attention to detail they put in this thing. Not only that, it looks VERY nice. The worlds are recreations of Disneyland, rides, etc.

Platform for Display:PlayStation 3|Verified Purchase
I bought this for my kids because they loved the first one, but they had the first one on the Wii. I love this one more because the graphics are amazing and its seems to flow better on the PS3. The color and story is wonderful and I have more fun then the kids! I would highly recommend! Wonderful fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars SUPER FUN! CO-OP is great with Move! December 7, 2012

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
this game is the best! i bought it off Target, it comes with a PS3 Super Slim 250 GB bundle for $299 now there is special savings for $290! its great the best thing is the CO-OP with the move! hard to figure out what do do in quests and not many hints! played with it for 2 days and still not even %3 finished!

Pros:
1- Good CO-OP
2- Graphics are great
3- You don't have to start all over when you die! you will respawn from the place you died in!
4- You will play with it for more than a month for sure!
5- Its like a music show! super fun with some in-game cartoon clips!
6- Easy to understand controls! very smooth with Move navigation and motion controllers!

Cons!
1- Not enought hints!
2- Doesn't give you enough info for quests!
3- you might get stuck a lot because it doesn't make any sense sometimes
4- Hard to kill monsters! first disable then you need to spray them with ink,(disable with a hit to the head, jump on it)
5- Not much action in the game! monsters are limited!
6- You die easily!

you will probably get frustrated. you might need to help your kids with it. but its fun overall.

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this for my niece and after purchasing it for almost 60 bucks for her and reading the online reviews I got nervous. Dont be the game looks stunning in hd and the disney world is incredible the camera is clunky but it is nothing major like the reviews make it its a ton of fun and really will give you a nostaligic good feeling even the adults, I had no complaints from the kids and the adults in the room all had a blast. If your getting sick of these bs propaganda games like black ops call of duty and want something simpler for the kids or the kid at heart check it out its refreshing and old fashin fun.. mabey the developers didnt pay enough for a great review it doesnt add up a ton of work went in to it and it looks fantastic! nitpicking at its finest

5.0 out of 5 stars Really nice game. September 11, 2014
Platform for Display:PlayStation 3|Verified Purchase
I purchased this game to play with my nephew. Its actually quite fun and a bit challenging. Especially the flying and carrying the other parts but really nice. My nephew loves it. I like that you take pictures and such as well as the usual running around in most kids games. The controls are a bit sticky at times but overall we've had no real problems.
