Why would you buy this from Amazon?? The Disney Store has the same exact product for $74.95, which is VASTLY cheaper than the $209.99 that Amazon is charging. I typically love Amazon and purchase frequently from them, but when I saw this to do a price comparison, I was shocked. Don't buy this toy from Amazon and save yourself a lot of money.

this is a great toy. lots of fun and comes with alot of great characters. only problem is you can buy it elsewhere for 75$ instead of 199$ thats a huge difference

I bought this for my 3 1/2 year old at Christmas. It wasn't even 24 hours old and a part broke off. We exchanged for a new one which upon inspection had the same fault as the previous one (a screw missing). We took care of it ourselves. I do think the materials are very cheap. Its only been 6 months and the paint is chipping off some of the more loved characters, turrets keep falling off, the stairs comes in two parts you click together but with use it really doesn't stay together for any length of time anymore. I am disappointed in the quality of the toy. Given the selection of castles on the market today, their price and quality, I do not believe it was worth the money. And I only spent $100 total. I would NOT buy this product again despite the fact my daughter enjoyed it. As I said I could have bought another castle with more range eg princess, prince, carriage, animals some soldiers and battle pieces and I think she would still be playing with it. You live and learn.

Sounds did not work out of the box. But that is not the reason for the poor review. THis item is just disappointing for the money. The quality is subpar and the figures are not poseable. It has a few bells and whistles but it does not live up to the hype.

I bought this for my daughter 2 years ago for Christmas. We first saw it at one of the stores in Disneyworld. She loved playing with it. We bought it and it didn't even last 2 months. It is very fragile that it broke in half. The towers kept falling off. Very disappointed.

I got my daughter this castle this past Christmas. I though she would LOVE it because she is totally into princesses. Needless to say, she was excited to see the castle, but she just doesn't play with it as much as i'd like to see. It's much smaller than I though it would be, and there isn't that much to do in the castle. Overall, i'm disappointed at how much I paid for the castle vs how much she plays with it.

This is the most poorly constructed piece of flimsy plastic I have ever seen! The box it comes in is more durable (and more exciting to look at). The castle is very small and the figurines are not pose-able. Some of the smaller pieces (e.g., Aladdin's lamp, Beauty and the Beast rose) are microscopic! Given the price, I assumed we were getting something extraordinary, but it is absolute garbage. Do not waste your money. You get better quality plastic from a McDonald's Happy Meal...

Very disappointing!

I bought this a few months in advance of Christmas for my Grand Daughter. With all of the packaging they do today, I did not want to spoil it by opening and checking it. That was a big mistake on my part, shame on me.
When my Grand Daughter opened the package. The music and lighting system were totally inoperable. Now I had a 7 year old with a broken toy on my hands on Christmas Day. That kind of damage in not repairable. (I also agree that it is made of the most flimsy plastic)
The item is made and packaged in China and evidently quality control by Disney on these toys is non-existent.
I sent a strong but polite message to Disney Stores. I could not believe the solution they were offering me. They offered to send me a 20.00 store gift certificate for my troubles. They did not offer to replace it nor repair it.
Needless to say I will not be buying anything under the Disney brand again.
I don't know how or why a company like Disney would want to put their product name on such junk from China. Shame on them.

We bought this for our 4 1/2 year old daughter and 3 of the pieces broke within minutes of us taking it out of the box. Disney was nice enough to replace it and within minutes of taking the new castle out of the box, my daughter came to me with a broken lamp that goes with Aladdin. The product is cheaply made and I'm guessing won't last for very long. If you want this castle as a collectors display piece then it's great but don't buy it as a play toy for kids. It's not made well enough to withstand play. We're keeping it because my daughter likes to play with it but it's not worth the money.

My 3 1/2 year old daughter loves the princess castle. It does have some small parts, which i put away for later years. But, she plays with it every day. I also got the disney packages with other princess's like Arielle and Tinkerbell (sold in disney store) and they fit together nicely.
