To celebrate the animated film from Disney/ Pixar studios, "The Incredibles" which opened in movie theaters on November 5, 2004, Disney released seven commemorative special Opening Day pins each to the public at a separate Disney location -- Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Disney-MGM Studios, New York City World of Disney Store, and Disney Cruise Line ships. Pins in the collection include each of the main characters of the crime fighting Parr family (The Incredibles) and their superhero friend Lucius Best ("Frozone") on a design element representing the particular Disney theme park or location. This pin features Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, Dash and Violet with flesh colored faces in their red superhero costumes with black gloves, masks and shoes. They appear in running action poses in front of a rising white sun with yellow and gold sunbeams. The words "The Incredibles" appear across the top of the pin while the words "Opening Day" in stylized letters of black bordered with gold appear at the bottom. While this pin makes the eighth commemorative Incredibles Opening Day pin, it was only made available for purchase exclusively to Disney Cast Members. The pin is made of painted hard enamel on base metal, and is mounted on the official Disney Mickey Mouse Ears backing display which is black velveteen material on a black plastic card. The front of the display card reads "Limited Edition" at the bottom and has the Disney "Pin Trading Around the World" Mickey Mouse logo at the top, in silver print. The pin itself is attached to backing display card with a black rubber Mickey Mouse ear push clasp, which is also used to wear the pin if desired. The back of the pin reads "Officail Disney Pin Trading 2004" inside the Mickey Mouse Head Logo and "Cast Exclusive Limited Edition of 1500" together with "(c) Disney/ Pixar." All original packaging and sticker.
