5.0 out of 5 stars Fun for the family March 24, 2008
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
My daugther recieved this game for easter and this is what she had to say:
This game I would have to say is overall worth five stars.

Well, the graphics were well done. The characters look just like the characters in the movie. All the characters worlds were well done and really relate to the characters. The images aren't blurry or anything.

Plus, its easy to move around.I had to trouble navigating through the house.Any person could easily move around the worlds.

Also, the adventures are fun.For the most part they are simple. The memory games can be tricky for little ones.So you could just right down the anwsers somewhere. But it's great to interact with other characters during the adventures. At first you may not understand the game but you understand after you play it.For me I cannot beat the game with Dory where you have to find the teeth.Thats what I am having trouble with but I may beat it by the time someone reads this.

Also, there is stuff to do through out the week.Tuesday you get honey for Pooh.Thursday you feed Pudge with Stick.Friday Simba gets a dung beetle. And Saturday Dora meets in the sunken ship with members of the "Fish are Friends not food" club.

Plus, the holidays are great. The weather can change and you and your friends can celebrate holidays.

The shop is pretty cool. You can buy all kinds of items for your friends.

There is so much to do.You can create songs, take pictures, paint pictures and play an extra game with your friend.

If you cannot read the basics you may need help with an adult. In order to enjoy it you must be able to read at a first or second grade level. They are simple words though. But you dont have to read it.Like you can ignore it but you wont understand adventure instructions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps my four-year-old entertained March 9, 2008
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I just bought this game for my four-year-old daughter, and she won't leave it alone. She can't read yet, but most of the games are intuitive, so that has not been an issue for her. She can understand how to feed and play with the Disney "Friends." When she first started playing with Stitch she couldn't stop giggling and laughing. It's a fun game, I'm enjoying it as well... Worth every penny!

4.0 out of 5 stars A fun, QUALITY compliation for kids! Who knew? January 25, 2010
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Face it- a lot of games made for kids, especially on the DS, are embarrassing. When my daughter turned 2 last year, she started to show a lot of interest in the DS, and one of the games I was looking into getting for her was Disney Friends here. It got solid reviews, and the one thing that stood out to me was that it seemed to be made with fun for kids in mind, and wasn't just a 'hey, this is stupidly easy to play. Let's ship it out!' release. Needless to say, I was impressed after playing around in the game a bit myself, and then seeing my daughter play the games after seeing how I did them. Now she's almost 3, and is almost completely able to play it on her own. Yes, there's text, but if you show your child how it's done, and they pay attention, there's nothing here that's too complicated.

You start out by playing with the Alien from Toy Story. This gets you into the basics of gameplay and interaction with your friend. As you progress and make your friend happy, you'll get another, and eventually you'll have the 4: Simba, Stitch, Dory and Pooh. The Alien'll always be around as a tutorial buddy, but he doesn't quite count as a real interactive friend on here when you compare him to the others. You can give your friend accessories to wear, put toys in their rooms, play games with them and more. The coolest part is that they really act like they did in the movies, and respond to your actions as they should. These aren't just rushed character models with a few voice samples, though the voice samples are still fairly limited. So it's good to see that the developer took their time making things right in that department. And you gotta love hearing Stitch play with cars and cardboard buildings after you set them up, and he starts stomping through things, roaring like a monster.

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Hi I'm an autistic adult gamer.

I like this game. It has Stitch, Simba, Pooh, & Dory in it and has a lot of great aspects to it unlike in virtual pet games. Like you get to take care of stitch and the gang and just sit back and relax with your ds which is nice. I enjoy Stitch and Simba the most there my favorite characters of all time. In the movies and in the games. I like how you get to chill with the characters and take pictures.

Get this game you'll enjoy it I know I do.

Happy Gaming!

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps 5 yr old entertained December 6, 2012
Verified Purchase
My 5 year old plays this mostly by himself, but since he can't read he sometimes can't figure out what to do next without someone to read for him. I don't consider that a problem though - it's actually encouraging him to learn how to read!

3.0 out of 5 stars You need good eyes to read the printing. October 14, 2008

Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
I'm glad I got this as a deal of the day and did not pay full price. I mainly do brain challenge type games so I wanted a bit of comic relief.

The characters are cute but you don't get all of them at once. I mainly wanted Pooh Bear and it may be a long time until I get him as I cannot read most of the commands, the print is yellow on gold and small most of the time.

Disney knows the DS screen is small you would think they could make the print the same as in the other games.
