A lot of fun for my 6 year old; price and quality are issues
on August 27, 2014
We bought this at Toys R Us using a gift card my daughter got for her birthday - you get two skirts, two pairs of shoes, and space for Anna and Elsa to snap onto the sides pretty much. My now 6 year old daughter loved changing her dolls' skirts and making stories with them but she did have to stop and ask me for help snapping them to the sides. There is a purple strap and a blue strap so she thought one color was for one doll and the other for the other doll but both snap between opposite colored straps. After we figured it out she didn't really need my help except with cleanup. This toy doesn't actually pack up and go as easily as the pictures lead you to believe. If it was fifteen to twenty dollars cheaper I would say it is an awesome little accessory expansion but to be as much as it is with really no playable surface, clips that are hard for little fingers to work, and only one skirt and set of shoes for each doll, I'm not sure. It wouldn't have cost much more for the manufacturer to include some outfit options that were different than what the dolls come with when you buy them. This would work, though, with any of the dolls with painted bodices since the skirts are just meant to go on over that. Parts keep coming off in regular play and my daughter isn't rough with things. Have already lost a pair of shoes. So there's wow factor for a gift and stories to make up but the price is just not in proportion to what you get. The case isn't much of an added value so if you're debating this, look at the price and decide if that is a good deal for two skirts, two sets of shoes, and some mini accessories. There are other Frozen items at this price point that would be a better choice unless you can get this on a great sale. Still, as a gift it is a lot of fun and I was surprised that my daughter was able to get so much play out of a little vanity for her dolls.
