Okay, okay. Perhaps some people would find it corny (especially guys who think girls are retarded) but hey, the title is right. These girls DO rock. I'm a thirteen year old girl, and I'm telling you that this is a great CD, especially if you are a girl, but that doesn't mean that you have to be a girl to like it. The reason why this CD is called "Girlz Rock" is because girls sing the songs, but that's it. Many people will probably find many songs on the CD familiar. "The Princess Diaries", "Freaky Friday", "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen", "Lilo and Stitch", "Mulan" and "Ice Princess" are a few of the movies that these songs come from, to name a few. What makes this CD so great is that you don't have to buy the soundtracks to all these movies just for a few of your favourites - why buy them when you can get this CD with all of your favourite songs on it? That is why I purchased this CD. Each of these songs have something to give you, and you won't regret buying this CD in the long run.

I searched for a while for a good 'starter' cd for my daughter, she is 6 yrs old and we monitor what she listens to and sees quite a bit, so I wanted something 'today style' but still positive and I got her this CD and she really likes it.. she has a great time dancing away in her room to it. I like the positive message in the songs and she loves the great beat.
I would recommend to parents and kids :)

Basically, of the 5 CD's I purchased for her she likes this one the best. There are a few "louder" songs that we skip but on the whole this one is a winner

This CD is great for a sleep over or just to listen to when your feeling down. I'm 12 and this is great music for a party with me and my friends durring the summer by the pool. We play it as backround music and when we here a song we like we a sing along and dance!! This is a great cd if you are a real girly girl! The songs have and up beat and some calming smooth souds. This is a great CD, if you don't believe me listen to the 30 second segments of each of the songs. I promise you, your tween and her friends will love this Disney's GirlZ Rock!

Don't listen to any of the reviews saying only 6 year olds will like it, I am 14, and I love this mix!! It has a great selection:

1) Can't Help Falling In Love-I LOVED this song in the Movie Mix CD, it is a cute, fluffy, pop song (9/10)

2) Ultimate- I don't like Lindsay Lohan at ALL. She is another Hilary Duff or Chrsty Carlson Romano, except I don't think they digetize her voice! She is more of a rocker than a "pop princess", but i think she tried to hard singing this song. (2/10)

3) Together We Can- I'm really not a big fan of the Cheetah Girls, but at least they didn't put Cinderella on the CD, this is a much better song, although I'm still not a big fan of it. (6/10)

4) Our Lips Are Sealed-At first I thought, what a copy-cat! Now Haylie Duff is singing? I only heard the chorus at first, and HATED it, but now, its one of my favorite songs by any of the Duff's. (10/10) -favorite song on the whole CD

5) Superstition-Whoever is giving Raven studio time is CRAZY!! She has no musical talent at all!! My least favorite song on the whole CD (1/10)

6) Reach- At first, it bugged me because Caleigh Peters had such a low voice, but now its a decent song on the sound track. It's one of those songs you have to be in the mood for. You might skip it one day, than the next you'll be skipping all the way to it. (7/10)

9) Rush-Boy, these girls can SING! They deffinantly have talent, and don't get enough credit for it because they are Disney based. One of my favorite singers on the soundtrack, but not my favorite song by them. It sounds more poppy than any of the other songs they sing. (8/10)

10) Anytime You Need a Friend- I'm not a big fan of the Beu Sisters. I normally skip this song on this CD. It's just plan boring. (2/10)

11) This is My Time- ANOTHER Raven song?? Need I say more?? (2/10)

12) I Fly- Although I rank Hayden as just another Disney singer, I particularly liked this song!! It was a a cute song, great lyrics. Overall, great! (9/10)

13) Let's Bounce- When I first heard this song, I had NO idea it was Christy Carlson Romano!! She didn't sound at ALL like her, but it was a decent song, fun, upbeat, not a big fan of the lyrics though (7/10)

14) Reflection-I think this song was well sung by Christina. I have high hopes for this song. (8/10)

15)Miricles Happen-I really like this song...but what happened to Myra?? I think she dissapeared!! (9/10)

As a mom I find Girlz Rock to be a CD I enjoy along with my 9 and 7 year-old daughters. I learned about the CD from another mom who liked it. Now I am buying it as a present for an adult friend who likes it even though she doesn't have kids. As for the kids-they love it. This CD, along with the High School Musical soundtrack, has become our standard birthday gift for little girls.

Its really cool but theres 1 song that shouldent be on there. Supersisions by Raven was a horrible song. Otherwise its cool! I recommend for girls ages 10-14

My friends would be shocked to know that I listen to this CD ona regular basis. I love the Calieigh Peters song, and Hayden Pannetierre & Myra's as well. They are great for young girls, and even for teens as I've discovered. I even find myself liking the Lindsay Lohan songs! I never thought I liked her music, but these songs are an exception.
This CD really is great.I liked it alot.

WOW, this cd has several of the songs that more I like! I think that Disney did a very good work with this cd. I hope that it should do more as these!!

In my personal opinion every outstanding album has a surprise, a super, terific un-expected song that you just fall in love with. C'mon, you know what I mean. Think of your favorite CD, or your favorite song. It's not that I expected a super hit in a this CD, it's just that everything is so old. They just swaped and stole songs from other albums and soundtracks. Still a great album, I love every song! I just wish they put something in it that was recorded first for this CD, or at least recorded recently.
