at last we finally have the one system that you can actually see yourself on screen and not just an image of yourself. I purchased this item for my 7 yr old granddaughter after buying another brand first that the video camera was terrible but she is now singing and watching herself crazy now I have to make her turn it off and do something else. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This was Santa's present this year to my 5 year old. She LOVES it! The video works great, and I haven't been able to get her to put the mic down yet. If your kiddo loves to put on a show, this is definitely worth it!

My brother in law purchased this unit for my 6yr old daughter for Christmas 2009. The first time we tried to use it, the video function worked for about 30 seconds and went out......and never came back on. I tried to exchange the karaoke machine at the store where it was purchased (Target) but they were out of stock. Eventually too much time passed and the box was thrown away so we just kept it accepting that the video function didn't work, but she coulld still play music and sing along. However, after 2 months the microphone quality got fuzzy and quit working, so my daughter just used the machine to play CD's. I guess we could have bought another microphone, but why pay $99 for this karaoke machine when the features don't work and you can get a much better unit for the price. I would not recommend this machine.
