Cute, but baby needs to be tall,
By MommaMia (WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Disney Baby Music and Lights Walker Featuring Pooh Characters, Ambrosia (Baby Product)
I just purchased this walker for my 6 month old baby and was disappointed that she is too short to touch the floor while sitting in it. Even on the lowest setting her feet are about 3 inches from the floor. If you have a petite baby, this walker is going to be useless for quite a while. It's cute enough, and she likes the spinner toys. The honey pot music box is SUPER LOUD! We had to put tape over the speakers and it's still a bit loud and tinny sounding, but at least the baby isn't afraid of it any longer. Overall, I think this is a decent walker. I was going to get the Chicco DJ walker, but couldn't find it locally. So I went ahead and got this one, which was quite a bit less expensive... I just wish she fit in it.

Piece of Junk!! Don't waste your money!,
This review is from: Disney Baby Music and Lights Walker Featuring Pooh Characters, Ambrosia (Baby Product)
I bought this walker (or a similar Safety First Disney baby walker) and it is a waste of money! I'm so mad so I hope writing this review will be therapeutic and help me relieve some steam! If I can help someone else not waste their money it'd be worth it I guess. First of all the design is stupid. Did the people at Safety First not test babies in this thing first!?!?! No baby could ever reach the ground even on the lowest setting unless they were already walking first, and then they would be above the 30 lb. weight limit suggested on the walker. My baby can barely touch the floor and when he can, the way the fabric seat is designed it makes them sit backwards. It's as if they are in a chair, and they can't lean forward to walk because the dumb tray is in the way. This makes him only able push himself backwards. Yeah, just what I want, teach my child to walk backwards. He does like the toys and will play with them for some time, but as for walking (which isn't that way you buy a walker!?!?!) it's very poorly designed! Luckily my mother-in-law had an old Graco walker that is much better that we are now using. $55 gone for a piece of junk! I really dislike poorly made products. I will never again buy a Safety 1st product.

Jack likes it!,

Just got this walker for my 4-month old from a local K-Mart. He's not close to walking yet but he holds his head up and fits nicely in the seat, which is padded all around and has support . The walker was very easy to assemble, took me less than 5 minutes and everything snapped perfectly in place. It collapses easily for easy transport. He can't reach the floor yet at the lowest setting so I put a large firm pillow underneath so he can stand if he wants to. Mainly I got this walker to be able to let him sit/stand and entertain himself with the toys while I do some quick work in the kitchen or even take a shower (with him in sight of course). So the mobility issue is not a problem for me yet as I prefer him stationary right now. The toys are a bit much for him right now but you can slide it to the sides and away from his face if he's overwhelmed. Or remove altogether to use the tray. But even at 4 months he likes touching and smiles when he moves the pieces, or when we push down Pooh for music. He's in it about 15 minutes at a time. I think this was worth every cent since I can get some things done and he's happy in it.

My 4 month old has this walker and just as the other person said the music is way too loud and tinny sounding..it sounds like a toy from the 99 cent store...i dont really like the fact the tray opens...its dangerous for tiny fingers. My daughter likes to walk backwards in it but she seems to be afraid of the noise from the toy so she is very hesitant to touch any of the toys.

not for average height babies,
This review is from: Disney Baby Music and Lights Walker Featuring Pooh Characters, Ambrosia (Baby Product)
By the time your little one is tall enough to sit in this- he will already be walking.
Even on the lowest setting it is too tall for them. Thankfully, it was a gift and I didn't waste any money on this one. But thought people should be aware of the height limitations on this seat. My son is not considered small- at 7 months he is in 88% for his height.... His feet are 2 inches from the ground! SO it's not that he is short. A better option if you want to put your baby in a walker at 6 months is the chicco dj baby walker.

Meant for taller, more physically developed babies,
By Florecita (Chesterton, IN) - See all my reviews

My son is fairly tall and a strong baby for his age. He does really well with this walker. We have an older walker that moves much smoother and swivels but my hyper baby gets too wild with it and winds up moving much too fast for me to keep up. I like that this walker slows him down a bit and seems safer for our needs. It is a very cute design and the light up toys are adorable. I did not particularly find them anymore annoying than typical baby light up toys. I recommend this walker only for larger, stronger babies. It would probably be too difficult for a young, smaller or weaker baby to maneuver since it takes quite a bit of effort and sits up rather high.

Another crappy Safety 1st product,

I have to start by stating that Safety 1st products are the most generic unsafe products out there. First it was the baby nail clippers in which a metal pin kept slipping out. If a baby got hold of it and swallowed it who knows what would happen? None of the digital thermometers ever worked. And now we get to this walker which has been a real pain from the get go. To start with the adjustable trays did not fit the walker. After looking them over, I realized that pieces on the bottom of the trays were installed backwards from the factory. But they were also defective. I literally had to use a hacksaw to cut them so they would fit. It worked fine afterwards. But then came seeing how the walker operated on the floor. It has non rotating wheels on the back which make a walker totally useless. A baby is now expected to swing the font around to go anywhere, like a real car. Try driving a real car in the house. With the huge bulky sides and corners, its a real pain for them to get around at all. But even worse are the two tiny, low quality swivel wheels on the front. I had to take the rubber pads off the thing just so he could move it at all. And the walker height only adjusts at two settings, which doesn't cut it. Since I now considered this product a piece of junk and worthy of leaving on the curb for Friday trash pick-up, I decided to take some high quality Graco wheels I saved from an old 15 year old walker and modify this one. I removed the back wheels and shoved two of the old wheels in place. They actually fit in there. The front wheels I left on there. But after about a month they got jammed up with debris and no longer operated. Talk about cheap. My old wheels were used for 15 years and always ran smooth. Anyway the mod helped the walker move around better. But it has always looked unsafe to me because big giant school bus size walkers they make these days only have four wheels. This makes them even more prone to tipping over due to the lack of floor support all the way around. I realize they started designing these walkers this way due to bad parents ruining it for the good ones by leaving their babies unattended around stairs. But even these new walkers will go down stairs you know. Nothing can compare to my old Graco walker which had like 10 wheels on it and it could fly! And not once did my babies ever tip over! These new ones suck badly and watch your feet! They have sharp edges around the bottom and will scrape the hyde right off of them. Way to go Safety 1st, I'll never buy another product from you again.

Product has been modified from orginal model,
This review is from: Disney Baby Music and Lights Walker Featuring Pooh Characters, Ambrosia (Baby Product)
I first tryed the Safety 1st Sound N' Lights Activity Walker which was too high for my 6 month old baby to walk in. Then after going to a friends house and using her walk decide to buy this walker. The model is modified from the one my friend was using and is too high for my child. She loves the toys and I hate to take it back. It's very disappointing. She will be able to walk before I can use it.

Great walker, toys okay.,

Unlike other reviewers, my child fit fine in this walker at 25 inches. Someone mentioned it had two height settings. It actually has three and my guess is that people are skipping the first one. When the red button is not twisted and locked in place, the bars fall down when you pick it up and you hear a click. That is usually the second or third setting due to the weight of the bottom. Flip it over, push the red button in and move it back down. Twist the red button to lock it so it doesn't readjust when you pick it back up. Took me a little while to figure that out. As for the woman who said it's pointless because the baby walked backwards--they need to learn that, too! And think about moving heavy furniture. Do you turn your back to it and shove back on it? Same principle. Bigger muscles make that action easier.

Not so bad...,
This review is from: Disney Baby Music and Lights Walker Featuring Pooh Characters, Ambrosia (Baby Product)
I just purchased this walker for my now 9 month old daughter and she likes it so far. I thought it was on the pricey side (a bit over $50). It was very easy to assemble. You snap the seat in place. Once snapped in correctly it stays put without any problems. It includes 2 fold out trays with attached toys that DO lock in place so I wasn't concerned with her little finger ever getting caught up in the trays. There are 2 latches (one under each tray) that lock the tray in whatever position you want them to be in. It's very simple, you just pull down on the latch and adjust the trays. The trays swing out and side-ways. You can leave the toy trays closed (just like in the picture above) or you can open them half-way or all the way, revealing the conventional tray underneath. My daughter likes this because she can have her snacks in the tray beneath and still be able to play with her toys on the side. The toys included however are a bit flimsy. One of the toys does play music that she loves to play with. I read about the concerns of the music being too loud but I've tested out many other infant toys and the music on this toy doesn't play any louder than the music on other infant toys so this was not a concern to me. The one toy that I don't like is the flower toy with the mirror. My daughter can pull this toy right off the tray and it doesn't seem to really snap into the tray correctly. Honestly though, if your buying this walker for the toys...DON'T. They're really NOTHING special. You might be better off letting our child play with toys that he/she already has and enjoys while in this walker. As far as the height concerns of this walker, I think it may be for taller infants. My daughter is above the 95 percentile for height and she sits on the middle (2nd of 3 levels) level. It's not meant for petite babies. The wheels on the back just go straight back, they do not swivel. The two front wheels swivel. It's a decent sized walker compared to others on the market right now. Reasons why I only give 3 stars is because: 1.) too expensive 2.) toys are almost useless 3.) would like to have back wheels swivel.
