Doc McStuffins is a relatively new show on the Disney Network, but it didn't take long for it to skyrocket in popularity. My daughter is 3 years old and is a big fan of the show. Not surprisingly, Disney has a new Doc McStuffins interactive doll out just in time for Christmas 2012! Funny how things like that end up working out!.

Notes -

- The set comes with both Doc and Lambie - each doll is interactive and plays fun little phrases.

- In addition to her phrases Doc also plays the catchy "Time for your check up" song

- Comes with a small medical kit that includes a otoscope and a thermometer

- Lambie is soft and cuddly but Doc is made of hard plastic

- Both Doc and Lambie uses 4 AG13 batteries - I am puzzled why the designers decided to go with non-standard batteries.

- No volume settings

- Lambie has touch-points in the ears (for use with the otoscope), mouth (for use with the thermometer), and the chest (for the stethoscope). This is fun, but you don't actually need to use the medical instruments in order to make Lambie talk.

- Neither medical bag, otoscope, nor the thermometer actually fit in Doc McStuffins hands. This seems like a pretty obvious oversight. I am not sure if it will matter to your child, but it certainly seems like Doc should be able to hold her tools.

Final Verdict - I think most children will really like the Doc McStuffins Interactive Doll, but I am afraid that it may not having staying power. The main advantage of the doll is that it will encourage imaginative play IF your child enjoys the Disney show. My hope is that our daughter enjoys the doll and begins to play out some of her favorite "Doc" episodes.

I was looking for this doll for a while for my almost 3 year old daughter. I noticed on Amazon they sold them. But when shopping around I noticed that Toys R us had them and Target. Toys R us was sold out and still is. I searched High and low and finaly found some at Target a couple of cities away. There online wherehouse was sold out. In store only at this point.

They announced that this is the #1 girls christmas gift this year. They will only be putting out so many and you will need to put a 20% down so you can reserve one at many places. So get on the ball if you want this now for your little one. Right now they want 60.00 for this toy on Amazon DON'T PAY THAT! shop around and reserve one now. I paid 40.00 at Target. 9/17/2012

My daughter is a huge fan of DocMcStuffins. She has a November birthday and I was kind of shocked to see that this toy is already sold out in many stores. I was able to find mine at Kmart for $45. Still grossly overpriced for what you get, in my opinion. Amazon used to be the go-to for fair pricing. Not so much anymore. As of today, Kmart still has some available on their website. Anyway, this toy is adorable and has some really cute features.

I purchased this item for my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter as a gift. She absolutely loves Doc McStuffins. Although I was a bit taken aback by the price I purchased it from Amazon not having seen anything like it in any stores. I was pleased with the product but greatly disappointed to learn I paid double it's retail value thru Amazon. It may be a hot item but I used to count on Amazon for competitive pricing. Shame on me for not doing my research!

My daughter loves this toy. We got it for her birthday, and she loves the show, and playing with these dolls. They are well made and seem very durable for a child's typical play.

I found this item at a K-Mart and they had 3 more. DO NOT GET PRICE GOUGED BY PRIVATE SELLERS ON AMAZON! I will never buy from a seller that is intentionally taking advantage of parents trying to fulfill a want for their child. It's sickening.

Look around for this item because you'll find one eventually, and they retail for $40-$45, which is expensive enough. There's plenty of time before Christmas, and you don't need to be hosed by some greedy jerk selling through Amazon.

We purchased this for our 3-year-old for Christmas 2013. She is a huge fan of the show and likes the toy, but within weeks the Doc McStuffins doll stopped saying its main phrase and now just repeats the beginning of the phrase on stutter many times before occasionally switching to the second phrase. Also, there are definitely missteps in the design in that the doll's hands are not formed to allow her to hold either her bag or the medical tools. My daughter is confused by this and to me it seems an obvious design element to overlook.
