As advertised this volume contains songs from the more recent Disney movies though "Lilo and Stitch" which was released in 2002 is the newest. I really liked the arrangements from "Aladdin" "Lion King" "Beauty and the Beast" "Hunchback" and "Toy Story". The rest of the songs didn't seem to be as melodic perhaps because I'm not very familiar with the songs and movies where they originated. Full lyrics are included as well as musical introductions and transitions. Some selections are as long as sixteen pages though most range from six - ten pages. The pieces are pretty easy to play though some songs venture out of the keys of C and F where most beginners are most comfortable. All in all a good collection.

I am definitely a beginner at piano. I am 17 and have been playing for 6 months (though when I started I could already read music) and I can play many of the songs in this book. There is definitely quite a range of difficulty even though the whole book is "easy". I just love this book! It has all the favorite songs from Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin and then some. I have the other popular Easy Disney Piano book called "The Disney Collection" which has some of the good classic songs, but this book in my opinion has much better songs. If you are a beginner and want to learn fun songs or are a better player and want to be able to learn all your favorite songs quickly, get this book! I am a piano teacher, and my students have loved looking through this book for ideas. The variety of titles is great, and for the price, it's an awesome deal. Most of the arrangements are excellent.

It's a good book with many Disney favorites in it. However, as a book to sing with students, it is pitched to high for many elementary singers. I have a Disney Mania Cd for the Roller Coaster Ride from Lilo and Stitch and the music in this book does not match the order of the words in the Cd. I had to listen, look for the correct parts (it took me over an hour to do this), and re-type it in the correct order to go with the Cd.

If this is not a priority for you and you want a book just for playing piano, it is a nice book for that.

If you love Disney music and want to be able to play those tunes, this is a great book that covers most of the more recent song.

We bought this for our two kids who are playing level 3 piano and found it to be more difficult that expected. They have lost interest in playing the songs right now, but we hope that in a year or so they my try again.

I find that when learning a new instrument, it always helps to be able to recognize a tune you're trying to play. That way, you almost immediately know that you're on the right key, and you can go from there. I've only been playing piano for six weeks and I was overconfident buying this book. I have no doubt that I'll be able to play them all in the next few months, as the arrangements are not hard, but beginner doesn't mean BEGINNER. It means "you can read all notes on the scale and recognize music theory easily".

My 13 year old daughter can't stop playing from this book. I now have to drag her from the piano to get her to do anything. I guess that means it's a good song book. There are a lot of great, more modern Disney songs. I would definitely buy a more advanced version of this book if it were available. Hint, hint. . .

When I bought this, I did not realize it was an "easy" piano version. Some of the songs, particularly the simpler ones have really nice arrangements, others were "dumbed down" to the point that they were barely recognizable. Overall, I think the arrangers did a good job, but don't expect to be challenged if you are a more experienced pianist.

Also, chords are noted above the melody, so this could feasibly be used as a fake book.

This book is much easier than explained in the description. Though it's really good for beginners, I was looking for a bit harder book.

The price is good though, and it's got a great selection of songs.
