I bought two of these for my twin 5 1/2 year old boys for Christmas. They love them. They were listed as refurbished but look brand new. I love that it comes with software to download Disney music. I feel that the music is appropriate for them and they love it. I've noticed that the volume levels seem appropriate too. I think even at the loudest level it seems safe for their ears. It also comes with soft earbuds perfect for little ears. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Bought this for my 6 yr. old sons birthday, so he would stop stealing my mp3 player. It's very easy to transfer music onto and I love that it has a lanyard so he can wear it around his neck. The menu is easy to understand for him w/ its pictures. My biggest complaint is that it does not play very loud ( which I'm sure is to protect the childs hearing), but when you plug it into speakers you can BARELY hear it, even with the volume turned all the way up. I even tried a few different pairs of speakers and got the same results.

I bought this Disney Stick for one of the children I keep. Took it out of the box once I received it and was very impressed. Looks very nice!

So, I puchased this one that is supposedly a $135 new at ToysRus for $14.00. Look there before you buy here...if you buy at all. I have a 4 year degree in MIS and I still cannot get this to work. Insert disk, download software, but NOTHING-NOTHING is compatable. Not windows, not Itunes, NOTHING. I went to the "Help" area to get info, got things looking like they downloaded, but nothing on the MP3. I thought it would be easy-Disney should equal easy, right? No music makes this a great light-weight paperweight. ...and also no online support for WHEN you run into these issues. Unless you plan to buy all your kids' music on $15 pre-programed SD disks, it's probably not worth the cash.

We purchased this mp3 player for our 8 year old, who loves audio books. I love the size and the price, just not the Jonas Brothers. But a simple pretty sticker took care of that. The other versions of this are close to $60 bucks, which would have been ridiculous to spend. She loves it and so far it's working well. My only complaint is it is really hard to turn off.

Had seen mixed reviews about this item, plus it being reasonably priced made me a little skeptical. Surprisingly, it has worked out fine. It took a little time to figure out how to get the music on it (transferred from my computer) but I did it. She loves it and it has proven to be pretty durable. My dtr is not the most careful child. This is a very good "intro" ipod for a young child. My dtr is 6.
