I'm a 44 year old grown adult who has never once seen "Hanna Montana" and I dislike the color purple. However I needed an inexpensive MP3 player for the beach (one I wouldn't miss if I lost it or it broke) but played enough music for a good tan.

At $10, IT IS A STEAL!

It has some drawbacks - special software, annoying childish menu, won't play any real format music.

BUT - The sound is really very good, the battery last a long time and I have used it a dozen times while laying out, and I have definitely gotten more than my monies worth.

As for "kids" or "disney" or "hanna montana" - I have no opinion regarding this player.

I first wrote a review for this item only yesterday but have since played with the unit more to learn how to use it. The power on/off button must be pressed for 2-3 seconds to turn off the unit (nowhere does it say that in the manual so I thought it didn't work). We originally had difficulty with the unit "freezing up" on a particular song but once we learned how to delete that song (which must have downloaded incorrectly from my computer) we've had no similar trouble, so I've amended my rating to 4 stars now (would give it 5 if the manual had instructions about deleting songs, etc.) All in all, it was a terrific bargain at the price I paid (about a tenth of what is was listed at yesterday) and it has been my daughter's favorite Christmas gift!! Sound quality is great once you replace the cheap earbuds that come with it. My daughter prefers to wear headphones anyway since earbuds fall our of her little ears. If the price goes down to less than an Ipod's, I would definitely recommend this for any young girl!

I bought this item for a 5 yr old girl and she absolutely LOVES it! She told me she uses it every single day. It has been 2 months so far and it's still in perfect condition. No problems with it at all. Great buy.

this is a great item for kids that don't use it that much. the screen only stays on for a few seconds so you have to quickly remember what the buttons are for to play and stop etc. I have only bought the mix clips so far , the directions to download the music is very hard and when I put the disc in my computer it didn't work according to the directions. I would be able to download music if i could have installed the disc, but never could. it gets pricy after buying a few mix clips to listen to music.
also beware of where you buy it also, some of the companys selling are very rude and don't live up to what they advertise for sale on the website!
