4.0 out of 5 stars Great camera for my daughter
I recently bought this camera for my daughter's 8th birthday. She loves it! We haven't really seen any of the problems that the other reviews claim, so maybe they were just unlucky and got a faulty camera. I've had that happen myself with a couple electronic devices I've purchased in the past, but I was able to exchange them at the places I bought them - and the...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Worth Your Money
I agree with other reviews - would like to give it a 0/5. This was received by my daughter as a Christmas gift. We spent about 5 minutes with the item before completely giving up - battery location hard to find, image on back screen very dark and grainy, power button wouldn't turn off camera, etc, etc. (Didn't even try downloading photos to the computer) Anything else...

We received this camera as a gift for our six year old daughter. She's a huge Hannah Montana fan and squealed with delight when she opened the package, but the fun ended there. The veiwfinder on the back doesn't display a true image of what you are aiming at. It's sort of a brownish duotone rather than a color image. The viewfinder also "drags" or "delays" about one second each time you try to aim at something else . The flash blasted out the detail on the pictures and the images were grainy when we uploaded them to the computer.

It's like this...our child has used our camera, with supervision on occasion, so the problem is she knows this Disney Pix camera doesn't behave like a camera should. After the third day, she cried "I can't see anything!" (in the viewfinder). Perhaps they should have omitted the digital viewfinder altogether and used a traditional peephole. Because it has the Disney name on it, I expected a quality item but this isn't the case. I wouldn't recommend this for any aged child. It's too expensive for a starter camera. I can forgive the grainy pictures because it's marketed for children, but if the child can't see what they're aiming at, what good is it? If you can get it out of its clamshell case, return it.

P.S. This camera will work on a Macintosh OSX in iPhoto, but you can't used the software that came with it ...and maybe the packaged software is fun to use, but I couldn't tell you.

Disney should be ashamed to sell this product! My daughter got this as a birthday gift. What a dispappointment. The LCD display is useless. Everything comes out dark and unviewable -- even outdoors. The pictures come out horrible -- dark and blurry. It eats batteries. For about twice the price, you can buy a real digital camera. I don't understand how any comnpany could even market this product. Save your money for something else.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this!, December 27, 2007

I bought this camera for my 10 year old niece because she's a huge Hannah Montana fan and loves to borrow her mom's camera to take pictures. This was a complete waste of money. You can't see the picture on the preview screen, which was really frustrating, and then the pictures came out either too bright or too dark and also grainy. She was trying to take pictures on Christmas day and was really disappointed. I had to promise to buy her an "adult" camera that would work better. My advice is to take the $50 and put it towards something decent. Don't waste your money on this one.

1.0 out of 5 stars don't waste your money, December 26, 2007
This review is from: Disney Pix Click Digital Camera - Hannah Montana (Electronics)
I agree 100% with the two previous reviews. I bought this camera for my 8 yr old daughter and did not expect it to deliver high quality images. But, I did expect it to take pictures which were useful and fun to an 8 yr old. You cannot see the image in the view finder and the pictures are so grainy that you cannot discern the image. This camera was a complete waste of money. My suggestion is that you do not waste yours like I did.

P.S. I gave this camera one star only because the review would not submit without at least a one star rating. It deserves zero stars!

1.0 out of 5 stars Worthless piece of crap, December 30, 2007
This review is from: Disney Pix Click Digital Camera - Hannah Montana (Electronics)
I bought this camera for as a Christmas gift for my daughter (a big Hannah Montana fan). I figured Disney would only lend their name to quality products. I was totally wrong. While I knew not to expect superb picture quality from a 640x480 VGA, I did expect it to at least work. The few pictures we managed to take were about what I expected. The download software was useless and the stupid camera would not delete stored photos. I wish I had done a little research before wasting time purchasing & returning this garbage. I gave it 1 star only because there wasn't anything lower. Makes me wonder about the marketing group at Disney. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Do NOT buy this item., July 13, 2008
This review is from: Disney Pix Click Digital Camera - Hannah Montana (Electronics)
I accept the fact that some products designed for kids may not have sophisticated features. However, this product is totally unacceptable. The quality is so bad that it is unbelievable. You can never focus because what you see in the viewer comes out totally different from what you actually shoot. The photos are blurry, the colors are totally off... Anyway, I was astounded at the poor quality and the seller's audacity in putting such an item in the market. Do NOT buy this no matter how tempted you are because of its attractive design.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hannah Montana Digital Camera, January 17, 2008
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
I am so dissapointed in myself for spending over $100.00 for a very cheap camera. I bought because my Grandaugher is big Hannah Montana fan. I would have been much better off and my grandaughter would be happier if I would have spent less money on a digital camera that I did not have to pay so much for the name. The LCD screen is awful, the camera is very cheaply made and hard for her to use. I am so dissapointed with this product. I should have gone with my gut feeling and purchased a mid-priced Kodak or Fuji digital camera for her.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a waste of money!, March 27, 2009
This review is from: Disney Pix Click Digital Camera - Hannah Montana (Electronics)
Wow! I got this for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas thinking it would be good for a first time digital camera. What a huge disappointment! First of all, if you move even one millimeter while taking a photo, the picture will be so blurry that you won't be able to tell what it was a picture of. Secondly, we can't get whatever program it uses to run on any of our current computers, so we can only download the crummy photos onto our old computer which doesn't have access to the internet. Thirdly, since it turns itself off, it wears out the batteries so fast that we've already replaced them 3 times & only taken about 5 photos with it total. Fourth issue, is now for some reason, it says 00 on the front, but won't take a photo when you click the button--it's dead after only 3 months. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS! I will now send a nasty email to the creators of this POS.
