My son loves Cars and loved this book. But to my dismay, as we read through it for the first time, I was not pleased to realize it questions if "Santa Car" is real. My son is 4 1/2 and a faithful believer in Santa. I am not ready in anyway to expose him to the thoughts that Santa might not be real. There is plenty of time for that when he is older. That being said, now when we read the book I edit/leave that part out. But if I would have known that was part of the storyline, I would never had purchased the book!

My son has read it every night since it was given to him. He loves it. He also acts out the scenes with the cars from Target. He likes all the Mater stories, tall tales and accompaning toys. He WANTS to read this book. Thank you!!!

My son loves all things Cars related, but I have to admit I don't like most of the related books because they are not made very well, with awkward words and very cartoon-ish pictures that look very different from the movie. Not so with this book! I decided to take a risk and buy this book because my little guy has a Cars Christmas stocking and ornaments of Lightning McQueen and Mater. It is a beautiful book, hardbound with gold metallic on the front cover, and the pictures inside are nice paintings. The design of the Santa Car character is so clever, I love this little book. Reading it will definitely be a Christmas tradition in our house. Highly recommended for everyone! And as for this book touching the point that Santa Car is not real, only the "naughty" character who only gets dirty oil filters in his stocking questions it.

My older son is big into Pixar Cars; he loves the movie, the short clips, the story books, the calendars, and all things with Pixar Cars. Subsequently, we bought him Mater Saves Christmas, and he just loves it; the illustrations, the story, and the feel/quality of the book are great! After reading it to him the first time, he asked that we read it again, and then he got his mom to read it to him, and then he wanted to sleep with it! In short... 5 Stars!

The book is wonderful, my son will love it!It arrived just as scheduled and it was a plus that this item was Prime eligible!

My son LOVED this story. He is a huge Cars fan and this book was perfect as a Christmas story for him.

My 2 year old got crazy about Cars. This was one of Christmas presents and he loves the book. It is Christmas story, but I am sure we will read it all year long.

Truly a great gift for any Cars fan! Illustrations are great, and the story line is easy to follow for toddlers. Only thing I would take a star away for is paper quality, wish is was just a little heavier weight.

Santa brought this book for my 3-year-old son, Jack, who loves everything Cars. We have read this so many times in a week that I believe he has it memorized.

My twins love anything to do with "Cars," and particularly Mater, but this is by far their favorite. Quality made book that holds up to 2 year old twins' abuse... excellent cover, graphics and story.
