Product Description

Kids love the characters from Disney Pixar Cars for their unique personalities and stunt-braving skills. Once These 1:55 scale Stunt Racer cars are revved up, they perform four different stunts! Tail spins, Nose spins, side wheelies and backwards racing. Kids simply rev them up by pushing, then let them go!

By placing the car on its nose or tail after revving it, the vibration from the wheels spinning cause the car to slowly (and I mean VERY slowly) turn.
Nathan T. Ragon
It is plastic and does not do the "stunts" as advertised.

This is much better than the regular pull back car. My 2 year old son and I have a lot of laughs at night when I rev it up for him and watch it do donuts or take off. We have discovered that this "stunt car" will hit furniture legs and then jet off in another direction, which really cracks my son up watching it speed off around the room. We have wooden floors in our home, so this is a big plus. He is still figuring out how to use it himself but for the 2 of us together, it is his best car. If you are willing to play with them and rev it to the point of the wheels flying off, it is an excellent toy but he likes playing with it on his own as well.

I decided to pick up one of these for my son to see how well it worked before I bought them all for his birthday, given all the negative reviews. I'm glad we gave them a try. I just had to come and counteract all the 1-star reviews on this toy line. They absolutely DO spin on their "nose" and "rear" and it is not hard to do. My 7-year-old plays with these all the time now and he has zero issues getting them to perform any tricks. The key is to follow the directions on the package where it states that you must rev them up 2-5 times. My kiddo is no stranger to rev-up toys and he knows exactly how these work. He is able to get them going very fast, which is the key to performing the tricks. I could see how a younger child would struggle to get them going fast enough to perform the tricks, however. I would dispute the 3 and up recommendation and bump that up to 5 and up if you want the child to play with them independently. These are NOT glorified pull-back cars. We don't care for pull-back cars because their little motors break easily and their motors are not very powerful. The power my kiddo is able to generate when playing with these is enough to send them UP ramps and over some low-lying obstacles. Tons of fun for him to design a "crash course" and send them through. If you want to be successful with the two-wheel driving, pick up one of the truck launchers. They launch them at the angle and they will usually continue at least 4-5 seconds before running out of momentum and falling back to all fours. It is difficult to get the car position correctly without the launcher, which is why I knocked a star off. The spinning tricks don't require any launcher. Contrary to another reviewer, we quite like the spinning tricks. If you get them going fast enough, they spin much more quickly than he is suggesting.Read more ›

I have to counteract some of these bad reviews too. My 3-year old son loves Cars and loves these Stunt Racer Cars in particular, not only because they can race, but the special wheels on these little cars, which help them do "stunts," also allow them to go around curves, drive on their side, and do the little "stunts" that they describe on the box. My 3-year old son knows how to rev these up (back and forward) and can spin it on their nose and tail. These are way better than the die-cast metal cars in that they can go on their own and do more than the typical pull back car. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5, is that one of the stickers of our Francesco Bernulli version started coming off soon after we received it. Nothing that a little tape/glue/clear nail polish can't fix. Found it for just under $6 at our local store.

It looks like a regular car that doesn's do much, but they're stunt racers! They actually do what it says that they do. pretty cool.

I purchased this item to be given as a gift to my nephew as he is a great fan of Cars but I was disappointed to see the actual product as it is not the same as the product dimension to which it purports to. It says "Product Dimensions: 5.5 x 2.2 x 8.5 inches ; 2.9 ounces" but I am not aware this refers to the packaging of the product itself. Actual product size only measures 1.25 x 3 x 0.75 inches. The model picture doesn't even show it. My expectation is simply not met.

My son is an avid Cars fan and we have bought him just about every version of Lightning McQueen we can find. First of all, this can be had for around $6.00 at your local department store.

As for the toy itself, well....its really just a glorified "Pull Back and Go" car.

There's really nothing "Stunt" about it. It does nothing a regular pull back and go car wouldn't do. The back of the package shows off the amazing "stunts" it can do. Don't be fooled. We all tried to get it to ride on 2 of its wheels as it shows on the back. Not happening. At least not for any longer than 1 second, before it lands on all 4 wheels.

And the nose spin and tail spin stunts are a joke. It doesn't spin. By placing the car on its nose or tail after revving it, the vibration from the wheels spinning cause the car to slowly (and I mean VERY slowly) turn. But it barely turns a full 360 degrees.

Save your money.

It was quite smaller than expected but most important thing is that my kid loves it

This car is supposed to be 8 1/2" by 5 1/2 " 2 1/2" like the product description says but that was a lie. The car I received is the size of a matchbox car. Extremely disappointed! How is this originally $35?!?!?! I thought I was getting a great deal with it being $8. This matchbox car is not worth $8. I will be returning this!!!!
