The stories are abridged versions of the popular movies, with each page split in half: the top portion a single scene from the movie, the bottom portion the acompanying text.

While the female voice reading the stories is pleasant, it would have been better to have the same voice talents from the movies. Each story runs from 16 to 20 minutes. Also included in the book are 2 poems inspired by each of the 4 movies. The poems are not narrated on the CD.

I was very disappointed that Disney didn't put forth a little extra effort to add a "turn the page" sound in the narration. I know when I listened to read-a-long cassette stories while growing up, the page indicator was invaluable. Before I learned to read, it helped me keep up with the story. After I learned to read, it helped me keep my place.

Imagine hearing "Mama, is it time to turn the page yet?" every few minutes for over an hour while each of the stories run. For a "listen-along" CD/book, a "turn the page" sound is a necessity.

I bought this book for my 4 year old daughter, who loves Disney movies. She loves listening to the stories on her CD player so much we started buying this as a birthday gift for her friends. And, her 2 year old brother started enjoying the stories too. Highly recommend this for quiet, independen, time.

Good value for the money, but not all that engaging. When I purchased this for my son, I thought it used dialogue taken from the actual movie. My son had a Pirates of the Caribbean CD storybook that had that and he absolutely loves this. He doesn't seem to care about this one or seem that interested. He doesn't ask for this to be put on like the other one. The narrator is a woman, and most of the dialogue is from male characters, so it's not that great.

My daughter loves it. She goes upstairs to peruse the book & listen to the CD stories all the time. So much better than being glued to the TV.

I really enjoy these CD storybooks (we have two different ones). They have been especially helpful for me when my 2 yr. old was boycotting naptime. Instead of insisting that he sleep (and then paying the price when he was awake 'til 10:30 pm!), I simply put this CD on, handed him the storybook, and initiated "rest time." They are long enough that he really is at rest for a decent amount of time. I do wish they had the "turn the page" signals for when he's a little older, but at this point he wants to flip back and forth between pages and probably wouldn't be able to keep up with the signals anyway.

My niece just loves Disney. Now she can read long with the book. It his her bed time tale. Great product and service.
