I bought this HUGE (and heavy) 319-page book for my son and he loves it!

Like other books in the Disney Storybook series, this Disney/Pixar Collection features gorgeous silver edging (think of your Grandma's old Bible!) and lavish illustrations. There are 21 stories in this book, averaging around 13-15 pages each (much too long for a bedtime story--but great to read over several nights--or for encouraging your child to read).

As you can probably tell from the titles (if you're familiar with the Disney/Pixar movies), these stories are based upon the characters and events of the movies--and not re-tellings of the plot (as is the case with the smaller storybooks based on individual movies).

In addition to the 21 stories, there are also 200 stickers in the back--but most are smaller than a dime or nickel.

My one complaint with this book is that it includes The Incredibles, which is a PG movie (borderline PG-13, in my opinion). Now, I loved the movie and allowed my son to see it--although the violence made me second guess my decision a bit.

Well, in this storybook, there is a rather violent story called The Supers Save the Day, which actually shows a picture of the Supers battling bad guys--complete with an explosion, Mr. Incredible battling a robot, one guy getting punched in the stomach and another guy laying on the ground with an assault rifle beside him. ?!

I feel this story is grossly out of place considering the other movies and themes featured in this book. So if you don't mind that one story, this collection is very much worth the money. In fact, I paid about $4 more for this book in a local Stuff-Mart!

On its face, this book seems a great idea - a collection of stories based on the popular Pixar films. But the illustrations are horribly crude, the stories themselves are beyond banal, and the entire package seems designed only to capitalize on the popularity of the films the book is based upon. Your children deserve better stories than these, folks - just because they like these characters doesn't mean you should be reading this dreck to them.

I got this for my kids thinking it would have original Pixar character stories in it. We loved Cars and The Incredibles and thought it would be fun to read new stories with those characters and more from other Pixar movies. Well this book was a huge let down. Most of the stories, except for 2 or 3, are the movie being retold in a shortened version. I could have lived with that but it is so poorly written. My kids don't seem to notice or mind, they are 4 and 2, but my husband and I definitely do. We actually cringe whenever my son pulls this book out and asks us to read a story at bedtime. We have so many other books that we just love and enjoy reading and this is definitely not one of them.

Once my son forgets about this book, hopefully soon, I do plan to get rid of it so we don't have to read it anymore. We have so many other books that are better that it seems a waste of time to read these stories. I would not recommend this book at all and now will stay away from the Disney storybook collections. If the others are like this one at all, I'd rather spend my money and time on other things.

I am always on the lookout for quality hardcover books for my daughter, and this one is great. It is quite heavy, so it might not be one to lug around, but it is an awesome book for reading to your child. Every page has large print and beautiful, colored pictures. The cover is padded, and as a bonus, there are stickers.

My daughter really loves Disney, so she loves this book. I, however, am not as versed in Disney or Pixar, so I did not realize that it would not include stories about characters like Mickey Mouse. This does not detract from the book's value (it is advertised as the Pixar collection after all), but I think it would be useful for other Disney rookies (like myself) to know when ordering this book.

If you are looking for a great storybook with pictures to engage your child as you read aloud, this book is for you.

PROS

-There are many Disney stories in one book so that you do not need to tote around several books.
-Illustrations are colorful and well done. My child loves the pictures.
-Most of the stories are shorter versions of the movies.
-Great price for what you get.

CONS
-There were some grammar issues.

Overall, this is a good product and I plan to get other Disney storybook collections.

I am always pleased with everything I get from Amazon, it is much appreciated--my son is usually the one who finds the items that he wants and he lets me know about it, again thanks so much.

This book is perfect for little boys with it's stickers and great combination of stories. I bought one as a GoldBox deal last November and was surprised to see it priced so low again. Now I have one for my godson and another for my nephew in time for this Christmas.

We read from this book every night now. My son can't get enough. It's easily his favorite book. The stories are a good length, and engaging for a five year old. And there's lots of them.

I got this as a present for my 5 year old brother, he loves it. He's crazy about every Disney movie he's seen, and his favorite is Cars. That's actually the main reason why I noticed this, it has Lightning McQueen right on the front.

My 3.5 year old loves to read this book. He enjoys looking at the table of contents which has a picture next to each story and choosing which story he would like to read. While we haven't read all of them yet, some seem to follow story lines from the movies which he enjoys even more.
