Disney Pixar Supercharged Mater Die-Cast Car

My 2 1/2 year old son just loves the die-cast line of Disney Cars. I have never been comfortable with letting him play with other brands of die-cast cars because of the small parts that have the potential to pop off. However, I've found the Disney Cars to be so well made that I've made an exception. We've never once had a problem with any parts coming loose, even with my son's tendency to be rather tough on his toys. Mater is one of his favorites.

This Mater is a great toy. Durable, accurate representation. My 3 year old son loves it.

This product is great for my son who LOVES the movie CARS. Unfortunately they aren't as durable as Hot Wheels or Matchbox. I own over a hundred different types of cars and yet it's always the CARS toys that are loosing their wheels. (I've also had a problem with John Deere Tractors). The back hook aparatas doesn't hold up so well on the Mater cars either. So it's unfortunate that you spend 3 times as much for a car that falls apart 3 times faster than others.

The picture that is included in the sellers ad is not the actual car you are about to order so be very careful as to what is being advertised.

We ordered an original mater and received the brand new mater which we already purchased. Now the original is sold out, we will see how the return process goes. Unfortunately there should be clause for sellers on the internet for false advertising.

Our 3yr old son loves toy cars and the movie cars in particular, especially the Mater character so this toy was a no-brainer. It was impossible to find though. We looked off and on for a few months and were unable to find it in stores. I'm glad I decided to search online. Anyway the toy is great fun and he loves taking it with him wherever he goes, but shortly after giving it to him the chain at the end of the tow crane broke off, never to be seen again. The crane is small and delicate so I suppose that was to be expected but still it's too bad it had to break so easily. Perhaps that just adds to the toy's authenticity however since Mater is a bit of a hunk of junk in the movie. If your child loves Mater he'll love this toy, it is a bit bigger than most matchbox cars too so that helps.

Ordered this for my three year old son who is obsessed with Cars. It's much larger than I expected it to be, but thats a good thing. We have had it almost a month now maybe longer but it hasn't broke yet. My son loves it so I give it five stars.

The toy looks tougher than others that I have seen and bought for my daughter. It also looks the most like the mater from the movie/

We purchased this for my three year old son. One of the tires broke almost immediately. Little boys like to lean on toy cars and trucks as they race them across the floor...this one did not hold up to that. Since my son has dozens of other cars and trucks that do hold up, I don't know if this is was a lemon, or a poor design overall. The side mirrors are soft plastic, and they broke soon as well.

I eventually found a different model of tow mater that has held up very well...more like the hot wheels all metal variety.

I looked all over town for Mater and could not find him anywhere. I was so happy to finally find him on amazon.

My son loves this! He got it for his 3rd birthday and out of all the goodies this was his favorite. Who knew such a little toy could be such a big hit.
