cute, soft doll but not so well made,

My 4 year old daughter loves ariel, and when she saw this doll she had to have it. She's had it for a day and loves it. It's a cute and soft doll, but the quality isn't the greatest. The hair is coming undone and getting messy. But my big complaint is that there's not much stuffing in this one. She's flimsy and you can feel the plastic piece inside when you hold her.

Beautiful, but not durable,

This is a beautiful little doll. My 4 year old loved it immediately. It has a beautiful face, gorgeous, soft hair, pretty vinyl arms and legs, and a soft, satiny body. It's squishy soft, but really not durable. We bought two, and the Sleeping Beauty's seams burst in just 3 days! They weren't even playing hard, just snuggling and carrying it around with them. The seams on the Ariel seem to be better made and are not unraveling yet. The Ariel seems to be slightly better stuffed, so it may be a little better made. The Sleeping Beauty version's seams were loose and came apart with very little use -- the seams on one arm unraveled completely and the back unraveled. The hair style is lovely, but only held in place with stitched thread --which, you guessed it, broke and fell apart before the first day was out. So... it's great for the 4 year old who can be extra careful, but younger toddlers might love one of these dolls to death pretty quickly. I'd recommend the Little Mommy Sweet as Me dolls for ones that are just as lovely but much, much more durable. (They've lived through nearly 3 years of toddler love and abuse with much less damage.) If you get one, don't pay too much, and be prepared to give it some first aid (I've already had to sew Sleeping Beauty back together). I know it's not durable, but the girls really love it.

So cute, so cheap!!,

My daughter was so excited to get baby Ariel for Christmas. She is darling, however we were so disapointed with how cheaply she was made. Her hair is falling out and she is not stuffed well at all. If you hold her up she slumps right over and you can feel the little plastic stick holding her head in. I imagine over time it will puncture through the cheaply made bodice. What a shame to take shortcuts on what could be a darling doll. If you pay more than $8.00 for this doll, you have overspent!! NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
