I like this product, and so does my three year old daughter. However, just as with every other Disney product I have purchased, it falls apart within a day or so. The "hair dryer" runs on 2 AA batteries, and it broke in less than a week. (Yes, I tried 3 separate sets of batteries to make sure.) The bag broke within a day. The perfume bottle has a sticker slapped on it sideways and is puckered and collects dust on the sticky parts. I wish Disney would make quality products that lasted a long time. They would probably make even more money because I'm not buying any more Disney products even though my daughter loves the characters and stories.

I wanted a nice brush for my almost 18 month-old daughter to use on her dollies and maybe even on Mama, Grandma or Daddy. The brush does not have bristles -- it has hard, plastic tines that get caught in the dolls hair (Cabbage patch doll, etc) and also in our hair. It's kind of painful letting her play with our hair. If you're looking for a product your child can pretend play on you and dolls with, the brush is not ideal.

The only reason I gave this an overall 4 is b/c I couldn't rate the educational value higher than 2 stars. My 4yo LOVES LOVES LOVES this toy! The blow dryer makes the noise but also blows cool air which she thinks is great. I wish it had a more durable case (hard plastic would be great) but that's my only complaint (and I guess if she wants to be a cosmetologist this toy is VERY educational LOL)

My daughter loves this toy. I think she will play with it for a long time, but the price shocks me. It is cheaply made. I am glad she received it as a gift since it is pricey for what it is. So buy it to make your child happy...She LOVES LOVES LOVES it., but buy it knowing it won't stand the test of time. :-)

I had been looking for something like this for quite a while.. I found it on Amazon last week and had all the intention of ordering it for my daughter for Christmas, however I went to Walmart today (looking for something else) and found this exact product at half the price!!! I love the items themselves and would have paid the value advertised here (around 23 dollars) but now I'll know to look around our local Walmart first.

My daughter received the Disney Princess beauty tote bag for her birthday. She was so excited to use the toys with her new Step 2 vanity we bought for her from Amazon. Unfortunately, the curling iron in the Disney Beauty tote broke within hours of her birthday party by one of her friends. All the kids enjoyed playing with the toys I just wish it didn't fall apart so easily.

my little girl got this for her 4th birthday. we absolutely love this toy! and i say "we" because i love to be her model while she "styles" my hair. the hair dryer that actually blows light air and sounds like a (much quieter) real dryer is amazing. and as for durability--it's a toy...no, it's not really going to hold your hair like a real curling iron would, but it's perfect for what it is. it's pink, it's prissy, and there are enough tools in the kit that two girls can style at the same time. this toy is perfect for any girly girl out there.

I got this for my daughter 2 years ago. She still plays with it on a everyday basis. All of her friends play with it too and love it. Santa got her another one this year so they don't fight over one! I would highly recommend it. Its durable, fun and the blow dryer blows real air. The girls go crazy over it! Happy daughter, happy momma!

I first bought this tote at Target as a birthday present for a little girl turning three - incidentally, it was the first present opened up at the party, and the little girl was so enchanted with it, she flatly refused to open any other presents, insisting that she only wanted to play with her new hair stuff. I got a kick out of that, and have bought it for several other girls turning 3 - it's continued to receive the same response at every birthday party! *I also include a little set of disney princess nail polish along with the tote. the girls LOVE it!!!! :)
Note: I really can't speak to it's durability, as I bought it for kids that weren't mine, and don't have any clue whether the pieces broke or have lasted.

Both my 20 month old and 3 year old love this set !! It contains all the essentials for a game of hairdressers. i love that it all comes in a bag, as this keeps it all together and they also love carrying the bag around.
