This dual-purpose box lets kids listen to their favorite Disney princess movie themes on CD again and again and offers a place to stow the royal jewels. The chest is made of plastic in very princessy pink and purple and is adorned on top with an image of Jasmine, Belle, and Cinderella. With a twist of the knob on front, the lid pops up to access the CD player that plays music CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs through two stereo speakers on front of the chest. Operation is fairly self-explanatory, even for the smaller set, as buttons are all standard. The only additional feature is a repeat button that allows kids to play back a single song multiple times (enough to drive parents crazy) or cycles through the entire CD, playing back the first 10 seconds of every song. The CD player is surrounded on either side by lidded storage trays, each containing three compartments for jewelry, hair elastics, or other small treasures. The chest offers more storage in the secret pull-out drawers on either side of unit as well. There is a mirror under lid so kids can primp and see who’s the fairest of them all. The mirror pulls forward to reveal an accordion-style file folder that neatly contains and organizes a group of CDs. Measuring about 10-3/4 inches long, 8-1/3 inches deep, and 6-1/3 inches high, this box is compact for a CD player but pretty large for a jewelry box. I was surprised to read the poor review below. My 5 year old has had this for 6 months now and has had no problems with it at all. It sits on her dresser and is played at least once a day.

It's adorable to look at and seems to be working just fine.

I bought this CD player for my daughter's 5th birthday not expecting it to last a month. To my surprise it's worked wonderfully. She figured out how to operate it pretty easily and she listens to it every night before bed. We've had it for 6 months now with no problems.

My favorite feature is the compartment for the CD's. It keeps them from being left lying around and getting scratched.

We got this for my daughter's 1st b-day, she just turned 2 and it still works perfect. We use it every day for nap time and for bed time. It is so easy to use that she knows how to work it already. She loves it and will not go down to sleep without her music. I have highly recommended this product to friends.
