I bought this for my 7 year old princess fanatic, and it was her favorite birthday present. She played with it non-stop for a few days, she had fun putting the little dolls on the playset to hear them speak. However, after the novelty of the toys wore off, the toy is not that much played with. She still plays with it now and then, but it would be down a ways on a list of most played with toys.

The dolls only say about 5 or 6 different things, and they are not interactive in any way. If you stick the prince up there without Cinderella he will still say the same things, even things he is supposed to say to Cinderella. I think that is what bored my daughter after a while. She plays with the dolls more now as just little figures, and only puts them on the playset every once in a while. It does look nice in her room all set up when it is not being played with. I think that if it wasn't Disney Princess it wouldn't be so great in her eyes and might be given away by now, but she is by nature a collector and loves anything Disney Princess, so the toy has merit with her simply as part of her collection of Princess stuff.

Fun we have talked about, now for the other ratings. The toy is very durable, the playset has been dropped, the dolls stepped on, and everything still works fine. It is not a battery killer either. The batteries we originally put in are still going, after 4 months. Educational value is low.

I also got her the Cinderella set with the doll in the pink dress. It was amusing to my husband and I that you can have both Cinderella dolls on the set at the same time. Oh, the two Cinderella dolls do say different things.

I bought this toy in October of last year for Christmas for my 6 year old daughter. The sound didn't work when I bought it but thought I would just need to change the batteries. On Christmas morning my daughter was so excited to have received this toy, but to our dismay when we changed the batteries - the sound still didn't work. Of course we were over the 30 day return policy from Amazon so now she has a cheap plastic stage with Cinderella and the Prince. I have to say that the dolls themselves are nice. TOO BAD! This could have been a great gift. Don't waste your time.
