I am amazed to read all of these bad reviews!!! My daughter loves this Cinderella as do all of the neighbor girls. They always play with it and she works beautifully. She even took it for show-n-tell one day and all of the girls played with it. The one customer that wrote about her arms getting tangled up in the dress obviously didn't read the directions very well. You do have to put her arms out front of her so they don't get caught and any child (even my 3 year old) knows you have to do this and does it every time. Don't listen to these negative people. If your daughter is a fan of Cinderella, she'll love this doll!

I have purchashed My Interactive Princess Belle and found no pleasure in it because everything broke so easily. So watch out! Playmates makes many toys that do not last long. The dancing Cinderella mechanisim that makes her dance is not worth it because your child would have to not touch it at all for it to stay in good condition. Another company came out with a line of 12" disney princess dolls with gowns on that morph into wedding dresses. They would enjoy these much more, plus they can be used with regular Barbies for more exciting play times.

As long as the toy is not abused (ie: thrown across the room to crash into a wall or give this doll a bath and ruin the batteries) it will last a long time. No real educational value, except that perhaps the child will create stories of love, friendship, and kindness to others. Since this is what most, if not all, young girls do with princess action figures and tea sets, I gave the educational value three stars instead of one.

This is the second time I have purchased this item. Once was for the birthday of a young girl. This time will be for a Christmas present to another young girl.

Will entertain young girls aged 4 - 10 years for many hours and many months. Highly recommended!

My 5 year old daughter got this for Christmas. She absolutely loves it. She has taken good care of it and it has not caused us any heartache as it does what it is supposed to do. This is an ideal gift for the princess lover in your life.

My 5 year old was so looking forward to this doll. First, all the doll does is spin and play music...that's when she's working. We are constantly...ever other minute...having to reset the doll because it is very tempermental. Sometimes the music won't play, sometimes she won't spin. Her arms get caught in her dress, her dress gets tangled. It is a very delicate doll. It did not keep my 5 year old's attention and is worth more trouble than it's worth. More a show piece that a toy to play with. We are very disappointed.

I bought this doll for my daughter for Christmas. It was the only thing she asked for and wanted very badly. Only 1 week later it stopped working correctly and would only perform intermittently. At one point the music stayed on and would not turn off. My daughter was devastated. We were able to return the doll to ... for a full refund, but my daughter is still very disappointed.

We got this doll for our 4 year old Cinderella fan and have not been disappointed! I'm not sure I would have paid full price for it but at the discounted price, this doll was a VERY good buy! My 2 year old son even figured out how to make Cinderella "dance"! They all (ages 2,4,5) take turns picking her up, listening to the music and watching her spin. My daughter has even been sleeping with it so I know it is one of her favorites! We have had no problems with the doll and it is really a nice sized doll. I do recommend it!

My daughter will be 3 in February and she received this doll for Christmas and loves it! I told her to be careful with it and she has been but plays with it a lot. Her 6-year-old cousin came to spend the night and she played with Cinderella more than anything else and we have a lot of toys! It's a very pretty doll and she looks even prettier when her dress is spinning around. We've had no problems with her arms getting caught in her dress. It would seem logical to just raise her arms up a little if you have that problem. She will stand up on her own with her shoes on and if you spin her standing up, her dress spins around and around. If you hold her up in the air to spin her, her body spins around as well as her dress. Overall, a very enjoyable doll for little girls of many ages. My 11-year-old niece also played with it some. I will likely buy another one for at least one of my 6-year-old nieces.

Edit: Oops, I meant to give 5 stars for fun and 3 for educational value. I guess I shouldn't have tried to do it all in 30 seconds! ;)

This was a Santa gift for my 6 yr old and she absolutely loved it. The dolls spins either her shirt or her entire body based on what you press. My daughter played with this doll all day and preferred it over all her other Santa gifts.

That's what we get for not reading all of the reviews in advance of buying. Thank goodness we got her on sale! The doll only dances while the jewel is pressed and the tiara is lifted, which means my four year old has to hold her to dance with her, and possibly clock her brother in the head. Worse than that, the music stops playing after a very short time and the doll has to be "reset" by turning it off and on again via a switch on her back, behind a very tight velcro closure. My daughter can open the back and turn it off and on again but cannot close the back of the dress back up. I think even a die-hard Disney Princess fan will be disappointed with this doll within a day or two. She should at least have a base that she can dance in!!! Do not buy!
