Customer Questions & Answers

Customer Reviews

Not enough variety of questions.

The 4-year-old attention span, or really the amount of time it takes for one of them to win - having the SAME questions - really does not make for an exciting game.

Tried to get the included remote to work on 3 different dvd players.

Our 4-year-old loves this game - we just bought it for her 6-year-old friend's birthday. Any girl who loves the Disney Princesses is going to love this game - questions are easy enough that even little ones can get most of them - but challenging enough to keep even grown-ups working (esp. the 'can-you-finish-this-song' questions.) Educational - not really - but it is fun. We also love Disney Princess Monopoly Jr., Trouble, Candyland, bingo, etc...

If I could do it all over again, I probably wouldn't buy it. It is a little disappointing for me; however, I didn't buy it for myself. My daughter was very excited to play it. We could never get the remote to work. I called the game's customer service; they were awesome. They said they'd send a new remote ASAP. They also told me that the remote is not necessary for play. You can use your own DVD player's remote, so we continued. The "finding the tiara" questions were nearly impossible. Neither of the adults playing could find them. Fortunately, there were some questions that my daughter could answer, so she said she wanted to play again. For that reason, I give it 3 stars.

Matching dresses is no problem for a 4 year old; however, finishing songs, finding the tiara, guessing the voices, guessing whose item it is, and guessing the morphing characters can be challenging for a 4 year old without the help from an adult

This causes frustrations for a 4 year old.

I would not buy this again for our 4 year old daughter. I would wait until she was at least 6. I say this based on my observation when she is playing the game. She enjoys the princesses and does want to play the game, she just becomes frustrated at times.

Another observation is the questions repeat frequently as one starts a new game. Not sure how many questions there are, but only playing the game two times there were at least 4 repeated questions.

I will assume if one watches the Disney Princess movies often, they questions may be easier.

The game is strictly for women and girls, which makes sense because it is Disney Princess.

*** UPDATE *** I now see why its age 4. My daughter can now answer around 95% of the questions because they repeat so often. Not sure how many questions the game has, I would estimate somewhere between 30 to 40 total... Maybe

I stand by my three stars

my granddaughter is enamored with the princesses. so, she loves this game. however, thinking this game is more suited to a slightly older child. granddaughter is 5. she played it w/ an older cousin, and they had a blast, but the cousin kindof prompted her on what to do in places.

Overall I think this game is O.K. My 4 year-old daughters LOVE princesses & like this game. The only problem - the DVD does NOT shuffle, so we go thru the same questions over & over & over & over!! The 4-year-old attention span, or really the amount of time it takes for one of them to win - having the SAME questions - really does not make for an exciting game. We have several other SceneIt games, and NONE of them have a shuffle issue. It says on the box that the DVD may not shuffle with all DVD players - I really wonder if it shuffles at all, and it is a design flaw. Again, we have several other SceneIt games & this has never been a problem before.

This was a Christmas present for my daughter who was very interested in Princess' ... as most little girls are. This toy is one I would recommend for children who enjoy Disney movies. Not only can they choose their favorite characters cardboard image as their marker, it stimulates the brain with their categories and is not too difficult. Helps children (I think) to pay more attention to the songs in the movies they enjoy as well as other details that may pop up in their Princess Journey game. Once they win, they get to wear a 'beautiful' -in the eye of the beholder- crown, that makes them feel even more so like the princess that they are. It can be aimed for a young audience, with the understanding that they're not going to be "Playing" the game, but watching the clips, and just saying "yes" they got that correct. Either way, they'll have a good time with it.

My kids (3 1/2 & 5 1/2) and I had a lot of fun playing this game. My husband on the other hand is not a Disney buff, so he couldn't get any of the answers. Although we enjoyed showing and teaching him about the princess movies, I wouldn't recommend this to kids who don't watch Disney princess movies. It took a while to get the remote to work, but the instructions are great and as long as you're patient it will work eventually.

Great fun for the Disney family!

I got this for my 4 1/2-year old daughter for Christmas. She loves it! Once we got the DVD remote set up to use with our player, she was set. She plays it solo most of the time but I have played it with her and so has her older brother. The pieces are those cardboard-type pieces that slip into a plastic base, but in order to store them you have to take them apart each time. All instructions are on the DVD - no booklet. The thing I like best is that the questions are read aloud for her, thus I don't have to be with her constantly in order for her to successfully play the game.
