Disney Princess Easy Grasp Flatware

The First Years makes some really useful products for children, and these are no exception. They've got a wide variety of licensed characters that are sure to please any toddler. My 11 month old Angelica has an easy time using the flatware and I don't have to worry about her poking her eyes out - the fork tines are blunted but still easy to spear food with. The spoon is more shallow than an adult spoon, but that makes it easier for her to scoop with. I know from experience that a deeper spoon would be a whole lot messier! Angelica's recently taken an interest in Disney princesses, so I ordered her this set because she doesn't have it yet.

While I am pleased with the product, I was disappointed that I did not receive the flatware pictured. (Aurora on the spoon, Cinderella on the fork.) I was sent a set that had the heads of Cinderella, Snow White, and Aurora on the fork and spoon. While it would have been a nice surprise because Snow White is not often featured on princess products, it was a let down because we already have that particular set.

So, 4 stars for the product, but 1 star for not getting what I thought I would. It would be nice if the seller would note that styles will vary - then the buyer would be forewarned.

These utensils are NOT the first ones I grab out of the drawer for my son, age 2. Yes, he likes the Cars characters, but the fork tines are too blunted to be used for what one uses a fork for.......stabbing food. The spoon is also pretty useless as the bowl is quite flat. All in all, I pretty much just give him these utensils for fun when he has finger food, since they are useless at picking up anything.

My son is just learning how to use silverware and loved these Cars fork and spoon. Perfect size for kids and durable.

These were a great price on Amazon and I wanted a few more metal fork/spoon sets for my son. He loves Cars, so I picked these. The designs are as pictured and he likes them a lot, but the "bite" size of the fork/spoon is a little smaller than some other metal fork/spoons I have purchased. I would prefer the larger size. My son is two now, but I think I will have to stop using these due to the small bite size once he reaches 3 years.

Perfect size for my two year old nephew, made him more excite to eat with utensils seeing his fav cartoon!

My 1 1/2 year old daughter received this set as a Christmas gift. After reading a review on the 4 piece set where the paint was coming off, I was extra careful not to run these through the washer. Unfortunately I accidentally did, and sure enough, some paint came off. I made a point to hand wash after that incident, and recommend you do the same.
My daughter absolutely loves the Minnie fork, and asks for her at every meal (not sure if this is good or bad). We've had the set for only 1 month. With daily use and hand washing, about 25% of the paint is gone.
Note that there are different versions of the set. The one we got has Mickey on the spoon. If I reordered, I'd get Minnie on both. She doesn't get as excited about Mickey as she does Minnie. And yes, the spoon is very shallow. It's okay for scooping solids, but can get a little messy with any liquids (soup/applesauce). While the set is not perfect, it's still fun and worth buying at least once.

These seem to be holding up well (20 plus rounds in the dishwasher) which is a big positive for me. I worry about the graphics wearing or chipping away, but I'm washing the kids stuff just like the rest of the silverware. These hold up well..... not special washing process required

This Cars flatware set is a must have for Toddlers. I purchased this set for my 3 year old grandson and he loves it. He is a big fan of Cars. He also has a table and chair set for eating meals on to match is his new flatware. It's washable and durable.

My one year old can use them to "feed" himself. They are also a good size for me if I need to feed him. The size and weight are appropriate for young ones.

These make sitting down at the table with our 2yr old little girl a lot easier. She loves the characters and although I can't say it encourages her to eat more, but, her table manners have gotten a lot better.
