This product is wonderful, and I know my daughter will love it. I had to post a quick review to warn parents that due to the size of the castle, the box is quite large in and of itself. As such, Amazon does NOT package it in a larger box, or wrap it in paper. It arrived in perfect condition, on my front doorstep, in the original manufacturer box, with the pretty princess pictures all over it. This made keeping it a Santa surprise difficult - thankfully my daughter was not with me when I arrived at home and I was able to hide it before she could see it.

So, word to the wise, if you are keeping this a surprise package for the little princess in your life - make sure to ship to an address that she won't see it - or track to make sure she's not home when it arrives.

Yes, the box is big. Yes, the product concept is great. But, the quality is cheap and poor. There were broken bits when we first opened the box. We ignored them and put it together anyway telling ourselves that those were just small insignificant breaks, they weren't going to affect the quality of play time fun. Then our daughter started playing. She barely touched the table and the leg broke. She put her princess doll in the bath tub and a footed claw broke off. The next day when my daughter came over with yet another broken piece that was it, the castle was boxed up and returned. Not worth the high price tag for such a thin plastic castle.

Having purchased many Barbie related products that were not especially durable for the cost of the item, I was dubious when my daughter wanted the Enchanted Castle more than breath itself. After finding a discount on Amazon - I gave in - and was pleasently surprised. She is thrilled. It seems more durable and well made than most Barbie products and is has lots of possiblities for imaginative play. It came with lots of furniture & accessories to play with. There are lots of nooks & crannies to play in and it folds up to a reasonable size.

For over $100 this toy is a JOKE. Yes, it is HUGE, and impressively so. Getting this on Christmas morning was like the greatest thing ever for my 3 year old daughter. Its a giant castle that is in the garish purples and loud pinks and yellows from the "Enchanted Tales" line of Princess products. For a girl that wants a big castle to play with her princesses in, it seems perfect. It's huge, has neat things like a working elevator and balcony, and several pieces of furniture including a lamp with shade, bed, sofa, table and chairs. Any of the standard size Disney Princess dolls seem to fit it (she has Gem Princess and Enchanted Tales dolls).

HOWEVER, it is flimsy. Parts starting breaking, first with the balcony and then legs of the chairs snapping off. We tried two different superglues to get them to stick but finally gave up. Then the table top came off, the lamp came apart, the bathtub shed a foot. For a product that retailed for over $100 this is inexcusable and horribly disappointing. So many accessories and pieces broke off of it that my daughter doesn't even play with it much anymore. She parks her horses in the left empty side that opens the castle up and that's about it now.

If you can get it on sale, it's an impressive piece. Just don't expect it to be sturdy and do have some glue on hand (and hopefully better brands than the super glues we used).

We searched high and low for this toy and finally found it on Amazon. The price was amazing and it arrived on time just as promised. The gift bag with the big ribbon was perfect and can be used to store the castle in when not being used. It was easy to assemble and has cute features like the little doorbell sound. It folds up to a nice size and is easy to move around. Lots of room for the Barbies to play in as well as hours of imagination and fun! My Grandaughter, Jazmine, LOVED IT! Thank-you Amazon!!!!

The detail and features of this castle are quite beautiful. The scrolling architectural features are brought into the furniture design and this toy is very pretty.

However, for the price, this toy should be a TON more durable than this item. For the price, this item should hold together and work; it just doesn't.

My daughters have had this castle for under two months, within five weeks the sound disappeared (and came back once to disappear again; this is not a battery issue). So no doorbell, no chime in the clock, no music on the elevator even though the elevator does still work. The elevator is a cute idea but not designed to work well. The rising platform works fine, but the stand that you attach so dolls can be supported (and subsequently twirl) never attached properly and is lost. Our daughters just hold their doll on top of the platform while they use the elevator. So "problem" solved.

However, the furniture comes in pieces. While the installation is quite easy (for an adult when you first get it) that translates to parts that keep falling off. The doors, the headboard, the balcony, the chair and table legs, the lamp, all the plumbing fixtures; you get the idea. They just fall apart constantly. I even tried gluing a few but the design of the connection just isn't sturdy. Pretty soon all the plumbing fixtures and some of the table and chair legs will be lost and then the furniture that comes with the castle will be useless.

So, while the castle is really pretty, and it is used and appreciated by my daughters, I'd never purchase it again at the $90 price tag I see it here (right after Christmas it was listed on Amazon at $140!!! for a while). If it cost maybe $25 it would be worth all the entertainment we will get from it but we'd be less bummed about the loss of all the parts and the sounds.

It showed at my home and as my daughter and I walked up from the truck BAM it was right in front of her sitting in front of the front door....I was speachless...I tried to tell her it is the next door neighbors but I don't think she will buy it....She is only four 1/2 and she just asked Santa for it on the 9th of Dec. I was sooooooooo upset it was sent this way and That she seen it! I complained to amazon and got a full refund so now I have to find her something else and save this for her birthday in july!!!!!!

I did not want to wait until her birthday in July to find out something was wrong with it after reading some of the reviews so I took it to my moms where we opened it up and put it all together ( It was PERFECT)!
The fact that it comes with furniture is a huge plus,The doorbell rings, The clock chimes and the elevator plays music, Also NONE of the pieces were broken and everthing seemed to be there. I can hardly wait until her Birthday to give it to her!

I did not think that returning it for something that small was worth it, since I was lucky to get it at a sale price. If your daughter loves Disney princesses, she will love this house.

My daughter received this for Christmas. She was very excited. This castle is huge!!! It wasnt that bad to put together, as it basically comes in one whole peice, just need to do a few little things. I was a little disappointed because a peice came broken, and the legs on the table are very wobbly and fall out, some of the other peices are loose too.
All in all this is adorable and we all enjoy it!

My daughter asked for this for Christmas and I was concerned after reading the reviews and even tried to persuade her away from it. Thanks to Amazon.com I got an amazing deal on it and it was worth every penny. She is so happy with it, and the furniture fits in it closed up granted you can't have it orgaized the way you would if you were playing with it. It is already a well loved toy. I would think twice though if you are planning on paying the $100+ that some folks are charging. It is plastic and not worth that much money!
