5.0 out of 5 stars Princess Throne for Her, No More Backaches for Mom!
We have never, with three children, purchased anything this elaborate, but after our sitter bought one for her daughter, our youngest daughter loved it so much that we had to buy her one. 3.0 out of 5 stars Not for a petite child.
My daughter is 27 months old, 33 inches tall and can barely touch the pedals. I bought this trike for her at Easter (then 20 months) and she couldn't touch the pedals at all. So for 7 months we have been using Mom and Dad power to get her around. Thank goodness for the nicely padded push bar. It can be a little hard to steer with the steering column un-locked and when...

We have never, with three children, purchased anything this elaborate, but after our sitter bought one for her daughter, our youngest daughter loved it so much that we had to buy her one. It's absolutely wonderful, especially the push bars, which are out to the sides like a stroller handle, making it much easier to push than the trikes with a single handle in the back. The foot pegs are nice too, since she can barely reach the pedals, and it's handy to be able to lock the handlebars so that it goes forward (not in a little circle) when pushed.

Since our daughter is very young (not yet a year and a half), I really appreciate the seatbelt, which keeps her securely fastened. Also, the wheels are large enough and fat enough to negotiate gravel, which the strollers can't do.

She is much happier riding this like a princess than sitting in a stroller -- she just adores it! Frankly, I think it is a very good value for the price. It assembled fairly easily, however the assembly instructions are not very well written, so if you are not mechanically inclined, have a mechanical person handy to help figure it out. I wish we'd had one ten years ago for the first child. It seemed then I had a permanent backache from bending over to push our eldest on her tricycle. This is positively heaven!

My daughter loves this trike, and so do I. The seat belt is perfect and so are the removable foot rests. It is perfect for the transition from being pushed to peddling herself. Mom can appreciate the value, since it will last for years.

The seat is comfy and the canopy is big enough to prvide adequate shade. I would change nothing; it really is perfect for a princess!!!

We bought this for our daughter's second birthday. After reading many reviews and testing them out at the store we decided on this bike. My daughter is and was shorter for her age, so we almost got a more compant bike, but decided that she wouldn't out grow this one as fast. We also thought the handle bar would be great to help her out as she learned to ride it. Now she is 3 and still has a hard time reaching the pedals when she is turning. We, use the handle for out walks still and she loves to steer, but when she starts to get tired we lock the front wheel and she sits back and enjoys the ride. Our daughter loves her "princess bike" and all of its accessories. And all in all we enjoy it too.

My parents bought one of these for our 22 month old because she was getting anxious for a bike watching her big brother ride around at their house. This is perfect. She is strapped in, and we push her around in it, but she's still in control because she gets to steer the bike. She can almost reach the pedals, and as fast as they grow she'll be pedeling all over with her big bro in no time. The canopy is nice also, it gives her sensitive skin a little extra shade. We love it so much we bought her another one for our home! A definate must have for your little princess.

After reading past reviews, we decided to get this trike for our 2.5-yr old. It is everything and more than I expected! The canopy can be up or down and the front wheel locks if you want. My daughter already has a big-wheel like trike and I was tired of bending over to steer it for her, as it was very difficult for her to pedal uphill in the slightest.

My daughter is short, compared to most other 2.5yr olds (34") and she barely reaches the pedals. She cannot yet pedal herself because her one foot comes off the pedal when she steers in the opposite direction. However, we now go on daily walks and she leaves her feet to go round and round on the pedals as I push, so she is learning and chants "pedal, pedal". She quickly got the hang of steering, which was NOT the case with her bigwheel-like trike and her batter-powered atv.

When the front wheel is locked, it does not go perfectly straight when you push it. Also, none of the wheels turn when the front is locked, so you have to pick up the trike a little, in order to turn it. Nothing is perfect, but I don't see a real need to lock the front wheel, anyway.

Great job Huffy!

My daughter (2) loves this bike!!!! It's a great training bike and it's nice to take on long walks. It really makes her feel in control, yet when she gets tired I don't have to carry it home. It has the convenience of a stroller and it teaches her to ride on her own. The seat is cushy and the seat belt eases my worries about her falling off since she can't touch the ground yet. Great way to teach advanced gross motor skills (pedaling) at a young age!

My 15 month old was so ready for this trike. It had all the safety features I was looking for. Such foot rest, safety belt, handlbars for her that adjust to keep the wheel straight while I push, and a nice head cover to protect her from the sun. It's her little cadilac on wheels!

This bike is absolutly awesome. I bought it for my grand daughter and she absolutly loves it. She hates her stroller and screams "I'm stuck I'm stuck" when placed in her stroller. She climbs on her trike and is happy to get strapped in her trike. No princess should be without this trike. I found it easy to assemble. Then I again I have assembled quite a few bikes. My little princess give it 5 stars and so do I.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mommy in Ohio, July 7, 2005
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Disney Princess: Huffy Canopy Trike (Misc.)
We bought this trike online for our 15 month old and she absolutely loves it. Even though she can't reach the peddals yet she loves to sit on it holding the handle bar and be driven around by mommy and daddy!! I love the big tires on it, it makes it very sturdy and it can go over grass and even the sand when we go the the local beach with it. She loves the little pouch in front and while I'm steering she'll be happy just to constantly
pull her toys in and out of it. Even though she doesn't ride it on her own yet I'm pretty confident there is no way she'll be able to destroy as it is very sturdy and the wide wheel base in back keeps it from tipping. The canopy is a great idea, it's one of the reasons why we got this trike. The steering at first for me was a little stiff but after a couple of uses it got easier. Now you can't steer this thing at a sharp angle but it does easily turn a gentle arc. My only complaint is the pouch attached to the handle bar for the parents isn't very big (two water bottle holders is basically what it's for) but if you have a baby innovations back pack it straps easily on the handles and doesn't tip the trike over, even when the backpack is loaded down!! I like the fact that there was a safety belt to keep my toddler in the seat (some don't have this)and if you don't want your kid to peddle you can lock the front wheel. All in all a great purchase, no regrets but there is one thing you should be careful about: YOU WILL get stopped by parents and kids alike asking where you got the cool trike!! Well worth the money and price for shipping!

My daughter loves her new bike. She just turned 1. This was the best gift she received for her birthday. She does not want to get off it. We take it to the park and to the mall! We push her all over the yard too.
This is a must have for little girls!
