This is a wonderful present for any princess. My youngest received this present for Christmas last year. She was 20 months old. She loves this book. Her older sister who is now five plays with it just as much as her. We have had no problems with it.

The package says 18 months and up, but the toy is viable way beyond 18 months because of the 3 ways to play. You can push the buttons to hear the letters read aloud (probably what an 18 mo. old would do), but you can also have the book quiz you on letters and objects or test your memory with the memory game (based on pressing buttons in the correct order). We considered the princess laptop for our daughter, but we feel she's not ready for that as she can't spell or read yet. We just bought the storybook today and she has loved playing with it so far. I'd say this toy is probably viable up to age 4 or so. Although - our 5 year old son couldn't wait to try it out too!

My only complaint is that the toy seems to shut off quickly if it isn't played with. Sometimes the toy shuts off while my daughter is still looking through the book to find the answer to the question it asked. I wish it gave the kids a bit more time before automatically shutting off.

My daughter received this for her first birthday. She is month 20 months and still loves this book just as much as always. It is easy for toddlers to use and has three little games for children a little older. Great toy!

My daughter is 17 months old going on 18 months old and this toy is for 18 months+ which I believe is the perfect age. My daughter alreay talks up a storm and she is now learning more words from this. She loves the music and lights. Three modes identify, quiz, and music. great toy!

Our daughter received this as a gift, and we are so disappointed in it. The voice used to speak the letters/words is extremely high-pitched and barely understandable - plus it just grates on our nerves!

The words used to illustrate the letters aren't common ones that a young child would know. "L is for Lumier," "F is for Flounder," "T is for Tiara." Add this to the fact that one can barely understand the voice, and we just don't see much educational value to the book.

I suppose it might be fun for a child who was very familiar with the Disney princess movies, but we were unimpressed.

I got this for my daughter when she was smaller and she loved it. It talks and tells you the alphabet. And its princess and PINK! Any little girl would love to have this item.

I purchased this princess storybook for my 15 month old daughter. She loves pushing the buttons and turning the pages. But, she was wearing shorts while holding the book in her lap and when she opened the book she recieved a nasty pinch that resulted in a terrible yellow and purple bruise.

Be careful when your child is playing with this item!!
