I loathe this toy. But my little girl loves it, so if I hide it she comes and asks for it, darn it! It's SO LOUD! And Snow White's voice GRATES! But it is a really cute idea. I must say that it works well and there are many features to it. We like the non-disney princess songs the microphone plays. Our daughter loves singing along with those. You can hear the child's voice coming through the speaker if they sing loudly enough. It takes a lot of power to drown out Ariel, she's the loudest! And if you try to cover the speaker part with tape to cut down on the noise, you get bad feedback (this is a real microphone, afterall).

It's also not very big, which I think is a plus so that when I shove it under the couch cushions it's almost undetectable.

But in all seriousness, it's a cute toy but in desperate need of volume control!

I bought this toy for my daughter when she turned 3. She has always loved to sing and dance, and is facinated by the Disney Princesses. She has had this toy for 6 months, and still plays with it whenever she gets a chance. She has even memorized some of the songs. This one is a keeper.

My girls, 4 and 7 adore the Disney princesses. We all love to sing and they are dying to learn to sing all the princess songs. I bought this toy for my 4 year old last year and she was just growing into it when an accident while we were moving shorted out the circuitry (some boxes got soaking wet). The girls are so frustrated that I have decided to buy this toy again. Overall, the toy was durable and could take lots of drops.

My daughter picked this out for her 4th birthday and it has been well played with. She memorizes and practices the 3 songs the princesses sing. She also sings along with the many other songs that it plays. She can also talk in the mic without music. And if no one is paying attention it has it's own applause button. How cool is that! It has an on/off sliding switch when you don't want it to be accidentally turned on also. Our 2 year old son loves it too. Wish they made one for boys.

I bought this for my 4-year-old daughter and immediately regretted it when I heard how awful it sounded. The sound quality is absolutely horrible; you can hardly hear the lyrics over the static. On top of that, there is no volume control and the volume is set way too loud...

My daughter loves this microphone! She got it for her 4th birthday and both her and my 2 year old son like to walk around and sing with it. She has learned to memorize the princess songs. She also uses it with her Karoke machine (which is a separate product). Especially when she has more then one friend come over it gives them an extra microphone so they all have one to sing with. By hitting the blue button on the bottom and holding it down you can hear yourself without playing music. Although my son doesn't know the words to the songs he tries to hit the high notes! lol
Great musical toy for the kids which can also travel to grandma's house!!!

I bought this for my 5 year old for Christmas. She enjoys the toy, as does her sister who is 19 months old. However, it is loud. I wish it would have come with a volume button or a low/high switch because the volume is too much.

My daughter got this for her third birthday and she loves it. The only problems that I can see is that the princess have to be singing or the music playing in order for her to sing with it, so she can't just sing other songs she knows. It is a little loud with no volume control and she has to put her mouth right on the microphone to get her voice to come through. But, she likes it, and that is really all that matters!

This toy was a huge success! There is an off,play and try me button,yes true the volume is not controlled. However,this toy has several features. There are three princess who sings songs and then allows you to join with them or sing by yourself with the music. It also has its own applause button which is wonderful for the child to hear! It also has another button that plays several rhymes that you are familiar with...ie: London bridge etc..
Very interactive, helps with creativity and self esteem...I could go on not to promise you the next "American Idol," but it is definetly a start! :) Such a joy to watch the children play with this toy...dress up and pretend to put on a show etc...

This toy, cute though it might look, was clearly designed by a deaf engineer who has nothing but a deep-rooted disdain for parents. Without a doubt, it is the loudest toy I have ever seen. The lack of a volume control is bewildering. I would much rather they save money by doing away with the Play/Demo switch and install a volume control instead.

All is not lost, however. This wasn't the first toy that was gifted to us (curse you, evil mother-in-law!) and I have gotten quite adept at installing a small volume control. You can get them at your local Radio Shack. Well worth the time it takes to learn how to do it. I've "fixed" several toys this way.

All in all, I cannot recommend this toy.
