Disney Princess Transforming Beast Doll

The picture was misleading. The head is not attached to the jacket and the hands are not plastic-they look like stuffed animal hands and are sewed onto the jacket upside down. The boots are thin and have a split in the back. I assume this is for ease in dressing the doll, but GI Joes boots are a whole shoe and go on no problem. Being from the Disney store, I thought there would be more attention to detail and if I saw this in person at the store, I would not have bought it.

I bought this for my two year old niece who loves the beast. It is a nice toy but unfortunately it does not function as smoothly as it does on the television ads. It is actually pretty tough to get the head on and off the prince. It is not a quick function- it is about a five minute process. It is impossible for a child and difficult for an adult. A little disappointing!

My mom got this (and the Belle doll) for my 6 yo daughter for the holidays. She *loves* it! I think the makers did a great job of engineering the beast part to go on and off; even the boots have a split in the back to make it easier. Her brother likes to play with it too. A+.

My little boy loves watching the Beast in the Disney movie, and he asked for a Beast for Christmas. He plays with this toy quite a bit, although he needs help to dress and undress him. There is no way a 3 year old is going to be able to do the transformation without help. Also, we have only had the doll for a week and his jacket is ripped in the back at the seam. It isn't a big deal, but it doesn't seem to be the best construction.

The doll is pretty decent. My only complaint is that the Beast head is hard to get on and off so my daughter can't do it herself. Otherwise, he makes a fine prince doll and looks generic enough to go with Sleeping Beauty or another princess doll besides Belle.

I hate when Mattel or Disney go cheap on these dolls and they are made with a hard plastic leg that doesn't bend, looks awkward in positioning him at a table or something - has a very handsome face however. Neck is also not a ball joint so only swivels side to side, still common in most "Ken" type dolls but not all - for the price listed I hoped for more.

My grand daughter really enjoyed playing with it, even though the change from the beast to the prince was difficult for her. The arms had to be just right to get the coat off.

Awesome toy! My daughter love it a lot. Toy is very well constructed, better than the one we saw exclusively at the disney store. Highly recommended.

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter who has EVERY princess. The doll is pretty well built for being so cheap. The costume beast head looks nice, and looks close to the real character.

Pro: daughter can act out scenes from the movie, play better with friends, and boy are willing to play with her

Con: doesn't stand well on its own. My three year old cannot transform to and from the beast on her own, which means that every time she wants to do it I have to help her.

This was a gift for my grandaughter and she simply loved getting it and hasn't stopped playing with it. Her mother runs a day care also and it stands up to alot of other kids wanting it and it being tugged on and the parts are just the right size to keep little ones safe within the day care.
