This review is from: Disney Puzzle Tin (Toy)
Our Disney Puzzle Tin contained 2 100 piece puzzles - Sleeping Beauty and The Lion King. (I don't know if there are other design combinations - it was a gift). The puzzles are the same 100 piece puzzles you can buy in Toys R Us in a cardboard box for $2.99 - if you can find them!
The puzzles each come in a plastic bag, and both bags are stored in the tin. My number one complaint (and the reason I only gave this puzzle tin 3 stars) is that there isn't a large picture of the finished puzzle! The tin is decorated with groups of various Disney characters on the sides, but the only pictures of the completed puzzle is a 1" x 1" sticker on the lid. Definitely not big enough to help my 5 year old daughter assemble the puzzles. My husband and I had to put the puzzles together, take a picture of the completed picture with a digital camera, and print out a photo for my daughter to use. Now we store both puzzles in ziploc bags that include the picture and pieces. We keep them in a plastic box along with other puzzles. My daughter uses the tin for other toys, but it's not very strong, and the round shape isn't very conducive for storage.
The puzzles themselves are fine. The Lion King puzzle features a picture of young Simba, Timon and Pumba in the jungle, with Timon swinging on a vine. Not too hard to put together, due to 3 different characters, a definite ground and sky, plus jungle foliage. The Sleeping Beauty design is a portrait of Sleeping Beauty holding a rose. The Sleeping Beauty puzzle is more difficult, because the design is primarily pink, and there is a lot of border and background that isn't very distinctive.
Bottom line: I'd rather buy the puzzles in individual boxes (less expensive and easier to use), but since I've had a difficult time in the past finding Disney designs at Toys R Us, I'm glad to have these puzzles in our house.

nice tin, don't know what's in it, March 25, 2006

I thought the puzzle in the tin would be similar to the "Disney" and stars on the outside. The two puzzles inside are not stated in the tin's description. One is a lion king puzzle and one is a sleeping beauty puzzle.

This Tin is really big, more than I had imagined. Although a picture of the puzzles is not included, my 4 years old daughter and my two and a half year old son assembled the puzzles amanzingly fast, specially the Lion King one that is easier to assemble because of the colors of the picture. My kids are "puzzles fans" and they love this toy!!!
