The Disney Mix Stick is a great product for kids in that it is indestructible and allows for quick insertion of new albums via the chips. (Never used the dedicated albums but seems like a good feature if the chip doesn't get lost.) It is easy to use for our 5 - 7 year olds for them to charge themselves and listen, but not to load songs.

The only drawback to the mix stick is the price vs. functionality. Without a display (similar to the Apple iPod Shuffle) you can not tell what songs are playing or easily shift to a specific song. There are lots of other MP3's with similar or better functionality for less so it gets down to how much for durability and the Disney brand name. (Clearly for us we are suckers for a brand so we made the decision for the stick...)

My 6 year got this for xmas and she absolutely loves it. I originally bought a plain mp3 for $30 and I am so glad I returned it and bought this one for half the price.

My daughted likes how it sounds but the problem is that you can not change the songs in order, it mix them.

This product is great, my daughter loves it, the quality of sound is great! and it is pretty easy to use.

When my daughter moves this product while listening it will "skip" and go back to the beginning of the songs again. She gets very frustrated because she can't walk or dance while using it. Not worth it.

I never received the Disney Mix Stick. The seller had assumed I received the product, however when I called them to find out why it was taking so long they researched it and notified me that the item was actually on back order. They were kind enough to refund me the money and promised that I would still receive the Disney Mix Stick for my troubles. I have still not received the item and I have sent 3 emails to find out if I should keep waiting or just go to another seller. Even though I was promised the item for free it's still frusterating when there is no communication.

This looks like an awsome product and some of the prices are great, but BEWARE Disneystore.com states that this product contains chemicals that cause cancer and are linked to some birth defects. Many of Disney's other similar products cameras, mix max etc. say the same thing. If you are concerned about your childs health please check this out at [...]before purchasing this product.
