1.0 out of 5 stars Lousy product, October 26, 2010

Right out of the box it looked like a promising item that quickly became a frustration. First the battery door was jammed shut with a stripped screw. After half an hour of prying with a screw-driver and a knife for leverage i was able to open it. Poured in the soap solution per manual and turned on. The noise of the motor was deafening; it sounded like a professional-grade meat grinder. No bubbles yet. Just a steady spit of soap and the grind of the motor.

Then i diluted the solution with water. That helped to make half-bubbles that popped and sent the spray right into my kid's face. Ok, thinks I, this is can be avoided by attaching it to the bathroom wall below the kid's eye level. The suction cup held for 15 minutes and then crashed to the bathroom floor. After opening the battery compartment to retrieve the batteries i noticed that it is not water-tight--brilliant idea to put electric toys with no water-proofing into direct contact with water!

This crap is going back!

1.0 out of 5 stars Noisy!, December 4, 2010
This review is from: Disney Tub Time Bubble Maker, Winnie the Pooh (Baby Product)
I did not buy this item from amazon, but my wife had me installing the batteries and after doing so, I noticed how loud it was. I figured I'd go read some reviews to see if we had a defective/loud motor or if that was the norm.

As indicated by the other reviewers, this product is extremely loud. I didn't even waste my time to try getting bubbles into it to see how well it worked because I would be so annoyed having to hear it at all. Surely such a noisy motor does not need to exist to puff a small amount of air out and spin a plastic wheel. There should be a simply little plastic pump to create the air and spinning plastic shouldn't require so much effort. I'd think this could be powered by 2C or 2D batteries in a more efficient matter and with a much quieter motor.

It's going back.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy, November 3, 2010
This review is from: Disney Tub Time Bubble Maker, Winnie the Pooh (Baby Product)
This toy was so loud that it made my one year old cry, and she never cries! It did work, but more of the soap leaked out of the bottom then was actually used to make bubbles. I would not recommend this toy. Its a great concept, but poor quality!

1.0 out of 5 stars Wish the gift giver hadn't, December 28, 2010
This review is from: Disney Tub Time Bubble Maker, Winnie the Pooh (Baby Product)
My four water loving kiddos received this as a gift for Christmas. Wish the person who gave it to us had done a little research first -- it is horrible!

I won't gripe about the loud motor, but I will say it IS. And making bubbles . . . it ISN'T. We fill it up with bubbles, the motor runs, the wands spin . . . nothing. We wait. Still nothing but the occasional big bubble that pops before detaching from the machine. OK, I think, more bubbles. I add more solution and we happily (and literally) get about 4 bubbles in a 3 minute period. I think, OK, it's slow, but at least it's working. It then starts creating this watery foam which gathers on the bottom but still does not fall. My daughter scoops it off and poof, it's gone. Would have been better with straight bath bubbles. Result = four crying kids because the junk won't work. We are going to be trashing this, hopefully the tearless bubbles will work with a regular wand and my breath. Sure it will work better than this waste of time and plastic! Shame on you Disney for selling out to such a horrible product!

1.0 out of 5 stars Loud and barely works, December 13, 2011
This review is from: Disney Tub Time Bubble Maker, Winnie the Pooh (Baby Product)
There are so many things wrong with this product. First it's super loud like others have said. It's also very hard to get the bubble solution into the machine without spilling it everywhere or over filling. I could never tell if there was enough in there or not. It speeds up and slows down randomly and eats through batteries. My son loves bubbles but this thing just doesnt work.

1.0 out of 5 stars LOUSY!, September 29, 2011
This review is from: Disney Tub Time Bubble Maker, Winnie the Pooh (Baby Product)
So loud, it was like a machine gun. I can not agree more with the reviewers above. It also fell down off the side of the tub, and basically broke. I can't believe the sell this. I noticed quickly that they took it off the Babies R Us site, and replaced it with another brand. DO NOT BUY!

1.0 out of 5 stars LOUD!, May 30, 2011
By
This review is from: Disney Tub Time Bubble Maker, Winnie the Pooh (Baby Product)
Do not buy this product! This item was given to us as a gift for our son, when we first put the batteries into the machine and turned it on it was so loud, almost as loud as a lawn mower (well that maybe a slight exaggeration) but put it into an enclosed bathroom and the noise is unbearable. Also the machine is so heavy that the suction cups will not stay attached to the wall and it tumbles into the tub. Good concept - bad execution.

1.0 out of 5 stars Loud and Messy, May 17, 2011
This review is from: Disney Tub Time Bubble Maker, Winnie the Pooh (Baby Product)
This bubble machine is so loud, it scared my 1 year old. If that was the only thing wrong, I would have just waited for her to get over it. But it is so messy! It does make a lot of bubbles, but the bubble solution kind of runs all over the place while it's running. If you leave bubble solution in the machine when you're not using it, it leaks out all over. The suction cup the machine comes with is not strong enough to hold it to the wall of our shower, and it slid down. Overall, not worth the money.
