Better than TV!
My kids play with their view master quietly by themselves when I insist that the TV is off. These are great toys, very durable (except for the reels which can bend) and good for the imagination.

NO REELS???
I BOUGHT MY 3 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER A VIEW MASTER FOR CHRISTMAS, SO FAR I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND ANY REEL CARDS FOR HER TO LOOK AT, OTHER THAN THE ONE THAT CAME WITH IT. HOW MUCH FUN IS THAT? I HAVE BEEN ON THE INTERNET TRING TO FIND SOME, AND SO FAR THAT HAS LED TO NOTHING EITHER. GUESS MY GRANDBABY WONT KNOW IF IT FUN OR NOT, WILL SHE? UNABLE TO RATE ITEM DUE TO...

View masters are the perfect toy for road trips; durable, small, quiet, and entertaining! Its almost like watching a mini-movie.

I love this toy! And so does my 5 year old son. But I am frustrated by the fact that I can't find any reels sold separately. Am I supposed to buy a viewmaster every time just to get new reels? The editorial review said that additional slides are available separately - could she please! say where.

This was my daughter's first View Master and she was captivated by the pictures. It is a great toy for travel as well as something to have in the bag when you are in a more confined setting such as the doctors office or grocery store line. My only drawback is that I would like to see them make the reels more durable. Other than that this is a great "multi - use" toy.

This is a cute view master. I'm glad they're being sold again. In response to other reviews the reels have also been very flexible and easily bent. I wouldn't recommend giving this to a child that is rough with their toys. Also you can not buy extra reels online (except maybe on Ebay). You can usually find extra reels in stores such as Toys R Us, KB Toys, or Wal-Mart. They're usually on display right nest to the viewers. It would be nice if you could buy them online but until one of the online stores decides to sell them we're out of luck.
