Hello! Please read the previous reviews with the knowledge that they were written for older editions of this book, written by different authors. I've lived next to WDW for ten years and this edition was rewritten to exclude any previous errors. I'd appreciate it if you'd judge this edition on its own merits. If you've read this edition, I'd appreciate your comments and reviews. Thanks!

Orlando advice-good, Disney-not so much...,

If you are getting this book for the information on Orlando and surrounding parks then I would give it 4 stars. When it comes to Walt Disney World, it feels as though this book was written by someone who indeed lives near Disney, but doesn't love it or understand it. The author suggested that you skip the classic Carousel of Progress because it is a snooze! I have to travel to WDW to see it because it was removed from Disneyland. Also, It's a Small World was used in the 1964 World's Fair and then relocated to Disneyland. The one at Walt Disney World was created specifically for that park. Within the first 15 minutes of reading this book, I found multiple factual errors. As a 30 year old kid, I enjoy taking a flight with Dumbo (always have), the book suggests that you not take children over 6 to the attraction as they will not want to ride. I don't find this true ever. I have been a Disney Tour Guide and have known true Disney fans of ALL ages. If you want the entire "Disney" experience than don't take the advice in this book experience things on your own and make the decision. I have taken into consideration things that have changed between 2005 and now, I do not consider those to be factual errors. Historic basis is something altogether different. Perhaps the current versions of this book cater more to the true Disney fan.

This book was as interesting as it is helpful. It had a few pointers in it that the others didn't. The post-it notes come in handy to mark the items to re-read or remember before you leave on your trip.
