Product Description

Disneymania is back and sure to be the hottest compilation of 2007! Coming on the heels of Disneymania 4, the fastest selling title in the series, Disneymania 5 brings more of today's tween artists, singing Disney classic songs their way! Music includes all-new recordings from Corbin Bleu (High School Musical, Jump In!), Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana), Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical), Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), The Cheetah Girls, Jonas Brothers and more musical acts seen and heard everyday on MTV, Disney Channel and Radio Disney!

Amazon.com

Disneymania, as of 2007, has become an acute condition, perhaps affecting more 9- to 12-year-olds than spring fever or orthodontia-related toothaches. And not without reason. Disneymania 5, the latest installment of the series that lets the tweeniest pop stars loose behind the mike with classic Disney hits, is fizzier than a cherry coke and more uplifting than the "Breaking Free" scene from High School Musical. Here we have B5 busting out a hip-hop-lite version of the "Siamese Cat Song," as well as better-known singers Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens (both from High School Musical) finding their way through familiar favorites "Kiss the Girl" and "Colors of the Wind." Moms will be partial to the Go-Go's high-strung "Let's Get Together," but count on Disney Channel devotees proclaiming the Cheetah Girls' Cinderella ballad "So This is Love" the fairest--and most kickin'--of them all. --Tammy La Gorce

I think this CD is the one of the best CD'S in the Disney Mania Collection.

I have the first two Disneymania CDs, and those were good, but they've gotten progressively worse and they just repeat all the same songs from the previous discs.

I've bought every Disney Mania that has been released. I really liked the first Disney Mania, but two, three, and four I was slightly dissapointed with. This one is arguably the best one. The only song I did not enjoy was the Second Star to the Right. My favorites were; Part of Your World, When She Loved Me, Colors of the Wind, Go the Distance, Reflection, and Let's Get Together.

I listened to the whole CD online so I could listen to it without wasting any money. Let us begin shall we?

1. Miley Cyrus - Part of Your World, it was an okay song but a bit too rockish for me. I didn't really like the "What do ya call them?" part cause it was just...annoying. (3.5/5)

2. Corbin Bleu - Two Worlds, I don't really listen to Corbin Bleu much, but this was a very good remake of Two Worlds. I love Phil Collins songs and I'm glad Corbin did a good job on this. (4.5/5)

3. The Cheetah Girls - So This is Love, the Cheetah Girls do it again! Make another song that going on Billboards no doubt. I especially love the additional lyrics and the Spanish parts as well. Another success for The Cheetah Girls. (5/5)

4. I Wanna Be Like You - Jonas Brothers, this is a fun song for kids to dance to. Unlike "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life)", this was better. Almost like Smash Mouth but I like it anyway. (4.5/5)

5. When She Loved Me - Jordan Pruitt, the best out of all the female vocals in this CD! I don't get why other people don't like her. Aside from that, this song is emotional, nice, and great for a modern day lullaby. (5/5)

6. Kiss the Girl - Ashley Tisdale, I sure we all have listened to this one. But I still like it too! It's up-beat, more pop/rock, and another song to dance to. (4.5/5)

7. The Second Star to the Right - T-Squad, apperantly I didn't like this song. The "Twinkle, Twinkle little star" rap was just horrible. A song we maybe want to skip. (1.5/5)

8. Cruella De Vil - Hayden Panettiere, almost like Lalaine's version but more with a pop flavor in it. Not the song I would listen to over and over again but I don't hate it. (3/5)

Above all I think this CD was very good.I liked most of the songs. The only one I realy didn't like was Part Of Your World by Miley Cyrus. To put it simply,in my opinion, it was the worst song in the whole CD.Find Yourself by Drew Seely was alright; Second Star To The Right by T-Squad was OK;True To Your Heart by Keke Palmer was good;I liked Colors of The Wind by Vanessa Hudgens;I realy liked Kiss The Girl by Ashely Tisdale

(boy, that woman really rocks!); Too Worlds by Corbin Bleu rocked, my second favorite;and, ofcourse,Go The Distance by Lucas Grabeel taking first place.

This album is a disgrace to Disney music. The only 2 songs on this CD worth listening to are Corbin Bleu's Two Worlds and Lucas Grabeel's Go the Distance. The rest of the tracks are so far removed from the original classics that they're barely recognizable. This music was NOT written as edgy rock and shouldn't be sung that way. All the magic from these pieces is lost in these "modern" versions. I have the first two Disneymania CDs, and those were good, but they've gotten progressively worse and they just repeat all the same songs from the previous discs. Every new artist's version of a song sounds exactly like the one that came before them.

(and no, I'm not some 54 year old baby boomer who only goes in for classical music. I'm a 21 year old college student who loves her classic Disney)

After four previous volumes, Disney is starting to repeat itself! Despite such a fantastic and diverse songbook, I was disappointed to find so many of the songs on volume five have already been covered on the previous Disneymania albums. The series is a great concept, but it really has lost vision and umph with this latest release!

Disney has done well this time. Here are my reviews

Part Of Your World [Miley Cyrus]: Deffinatly not her best effort. She goes to fast so her voice sounds like she has a big nose block. She also overdoes it a bit. 3/10

Kiss The Girl [Ashley Tisdale]: now this Ashley song has been played on disney a couple of times so most people will have heard it. It is very well done. More Ashley style than HSM. 10/10

Colors Of The Wind [Vanessa Hudgens]: Very sweet. Another job well done. A nice slow song she also sounds like she means it more than the origanal [I forget her name]. 10/10

So This Is Love [The Cheetah Girls]: Very interesting. They add in lyrics which is different and they for the first few parts keep it about as slow as the origanal. They don't turn it into rock music like some people. Adrienne also does the second verse in Spainish. It is a very fun song. 10/10

those are just a few that I can remember off the top of my head [I just got up] See how many tens I gave that means I highly recomend this. So have fun with it.

The very first disneymania i ever heard was the first one. I thought it was so stupid, they were ruining classic songs that i loved. My best friend turned me onto the version of kiss the girl by no secrets and soon it became like our theme song, i loved it but i still loved the orginial. Disneymania is when artists take their favorite songs and make them unique, i have to say i liked a lot of this disneymania but my favorite songs are the ones that i had no attachment too. For instance i liked the second start to the right version but i don't really listen to the orginal. THese songs are rock-y and pop-y and not classic disney if thats what you are looking for then this isn't for it. This is something different and upbeat and its worth a try. Its all just for fun
