Product Description

From Children's Software Revue® -- "Subscribe Now!"

Downright disappointing for a Disney product, this is a set of four arcade games based on Disney animated films. In Rooftop Ruckus, kids race across the rooftops of Aladdin's Agrabah, moving Abu strategically past windows to light up the darkened city. Mu Shoot is based on the Mulan film and has players defending a village by shooting off fireworks at the advancing Huns. Two more arcade games are offered based on the Hercules and Ariel movies. Although each game has many levels, kids' progress is not tracked. Players can enter their high scores, but must start the game from the beginning each time they play. For the price, we'd expect more games or variation within each game, plus novel features that encourage children to keep playing.
Teaches: logic, strategy, game play

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for Younger Children, May 8, 2001
This review is from: Disney's Arcade Frenzy (CD-ROM)
I found this game to be good for beginners in both arcade games and computer use. Our young daughter (2) found this amusing to watch and play. I like the different levels, although we cannot figure out how to get Sebastian out of the maze in the final level!

5.0 out of 5 stars Not just for kids!, February 15, 2001

This review is from: Disney's Arcade Frenzy (CD-ROM)
I originally got this for my nephew, who is seven years old. But then when his computer wouldnt work, he brought it here to play it. I found it sitting on my desk one day, and decided to play it. Boy...the Mulan game sure is fun, and i'm 14 years old!

There are four games on this disc. They are an Aladdin game, where you guide Abu through the rooftops collecting bananas, a Little Mermaid game, where you play as the lobster (I can not remember his name for the life of me) trying to save Flounder from different underwater creatures, a Hercules game, where you fly around on Pegasus and knock monsters that are climbing up a mountain off, this game reminds me of Joust to give you a better description, and finally the crowning jewel, the Mulan game, which is oh so much fun. You play as the little dragon from the movie shooting a big cannon at the Huns running down the mountain. Its mindless yes, but it's also extremely fun.

Each game's graphics are about the same, and they are all fun, except for the Hercules game. If you have kids at home, then get this and they'll have a blast, and you just might too.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing Disney, November 25, 2001

Although this game kept my 8 year-old daughter amused for a while, it's too simplistic to be really challenging. There is too much annoying and repetitive chatter from animated characters between levels in some of the games, and overall the games just aren't that interesting.
